Necklace: Forever 21

Boots: DV by Dolce Vita ‘Java’ – HERE

Taking a note from my “Yeah…I Really Own That” guest blogger for April, Joyce of Joyful Outfits, I decided to play with prints and patterns. I originally had this skirt paired with a chambray top, but something about pairing it with polka dots really appealed to me. This skirt from August Wrinkle should be a summer staple. Seriously, not only does it have a cute star print, but it is super light and airy and will look perfect with a tan this summer! And for some absolutely bizarre reason, it reminds me of Jasmine and Pocahontas, two of my very favorite Disney princesses (I know, I was a weird child). Yes,  now I REALLY love this skirt. I paired it with a polka dot peplum top (I tucked the bottom in), my favorite ankle boots, and a big chain necklace for the finishing touches.

On a non-style note…guys, I’m looking for a summer job and I have no idea where to apply! I really don’t want to work food, but am thinking coffee might be okay? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Your skirt is so pretty! I love the metallic star print and it looks so cute with the polka dots. (And thanks for the shout out Ashley!) And woah now that you mention it, the skirt does kinda remind me of Pocahontas and Jasmine. Maybe because of the color and airiness of it? Haha who knows. And hmmm a summer job. Coffee shop sounds nice! And it will always smell really nice there too.

Hey, we have the same skirt from August Wrinkle! Mine was a tad on the small side though, so I had to hand it off to one of my cousins. However, it fits you wonderfully and will for sure work with a lot of summery outfits. Great print mixing – so Joyce's style haha πŸ™‚
Also, yes, avoid food if you can. I can personally tell you that πŸ˜› Haha, a coffee gig would be pretty sweet though. I'm personally addicted to caffeine, so maybe that's just my preference. Good luck though, and keep us updated!
Thanks for the encouragement as well Ashley. My lola is someone I'll always remember. <3

That star print skirt really is quite cute. I like how the little stars appear like they're fading downward (even if they're not?) kind of like they really do in the sky. So so pretty!

Also, would have never guessed that top was a peplum. You sneaky girl, you!

Coffee would be awesome. Or a bookstore or maybe an art supply store, haha. Those might be the most relaxing. πŸ™‚

I love the shape of this skirt–it's really casual and comfy! I'd try out food–maybe a low-key restaurant? I worked at one all through college––it can be stressful at times, but it's fun to get to know the customers and things!

That wrap skirt is absolutely adorable, especially with the star print mixed with polka dots! I have never really enjoyed my past jobs in the food industry, but a bakery or cupcake shop could be fun! I hope you had a great weekend!

I love this skirt! The print is fab and it does look perfect with polka dots. You would make an adorable barista, I've always wanted to work in a cute cafe…BUT I think the bigger bucks are in restaurants. Honestly, I'd go for anything but the mall πŸ˜‰
