Boots: ‘Jersey Boot’ in Banana Bread c/o Naturalizer

Coat:  ‘Southwestern-Inspired Utility Jacket’ – Forever 21(Shown in last picture)

This past Sunday, I got the chance to tag-along with my sister on a Senior portrait session. I was thinking we were just going to browse around the little Bavarian inspired town about 30 minutes from my house, but one thing led to another, and I soon found myself hiking up the majestic mountains in a skirt and riding boots. Outfit choice? Not smart. Worth it? Totally.
The fall leaves, snowcapped mountains, and rushing river reminded me just how lucky I am to live where I do. I mean, where else can you drive just a little ways out of town and experience nature at it’s finest?

Although my legs were a tad cold (I was wearing tights…), the rest of me stayed pretty toasty. I paired a long sleeve top with the coziest cardi from Chicnova. I can tell you now, I know this sweater will be on outfit repeat in the coming months. Plus, the cute black and white pattern goes with just about anything. Love! Paired with a fun printed Brandy Melville skirt, and my favorite utility jacket, I had a wonderful day enjoying the great outdoors and reminding myself of all the things I am thankful for, including living in this beautiful place that I too often take for granted.

I really love the outfit. You mixed all different prints together so well, it just looks amazing against the backdrop. Ever since I heard there was a random german town hanging out kinda(but not really) close to me I have wanted to go visit. It looks so picture perfect I wish I'd drummed up my friends for a trip now.

Also, can I have that picture of you in your coat walking up the mountain blown up, framed, and hung on my wall?

haha, I feel like our legs being cold in winter is something we kind of get used to after a while, you know? We almost stop feeling the cold in our legs because we wear tights instead of jeans so much… or perhaps it's just me.

Well, tights were worth it for these pictures because I adore those on you. And I adore the colors of this outfit–definitely reminiscent of the pretty autumnal landpscape you're frolicking in! Look at those leaves and mountains, Ashley! AAaaahhh!
