Merry Christmas Eve!

My end to 2014 has been pretty crazy. I’ve been MIA, but as promised yesterday, I will get you caught up!

A few weeks ago, I was having tonsil issues and was put on an antibiotic to clear things up. After 7 days of taking it, I had an allergic reaction and my WHOLE ENTIRE BODY broke out in huge, itchy hives. It was probably the least cute thing ever. Luckily, it faded from my face quicker than the rest of my body, so I only missed one day of work and was back by Friday. Friday night, as the rash finally started to fade, I came down with the flu. Oh the joys of working with children! I spent the weekend cooped up, laying in bed, feeling absolutely miserable. I was feeling slightly better on Monday, but just barely made it through the work day. Tuesday, I felt 90% back to normal, but spent my day at work curiously itching. By the time I got home, my entire body was covered with rash….AGAIN. Seriously, can the girl not catch a break?! I headed to the doctor where they told me my body was still reacting to the antibiotic. I was definitely a sight for sore eyes, with a major case of the polkadots…and I don’t mean the trendy kind. Luckily, they all finally faded (currently praying they don’t make a reappearance for the 3rd time…), and I got to spend the Friday before Christmas break with my very excited first graders, which was a super fun, exciting, sweet (and exhausting!) experience!

But, the absolutely insane two weeks I just had was completely worth it, because this weekend something EXTRA special happened….

I’M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!

After almost 8 years together, E and I are getting married! I am over the moon excited to get to spend forever with my very best friend, and am still slightly in shock. The proposal was perfect and I can’t wait to share it with you! This is definitely a Christmas to remember!

Oh my gosh congrats girl! I LOVE your ring. I want some engagement story details. 🙂 Also that exact same thing happened to me with the hives when I was in 5th grade, it was horrible. Looking like a polka-dotted person is definitely not as fun as it sounds. ha I definitely didn't have to go through the flu and tonsil issues at the same time though, ouch I'm sorry! That seriously sucks. I hope you're able to enjoy your holiday still regardless and get feeling better soon.

Wonderful blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News. Do you have any suggestions on how to get listed in Yahoo News? I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there! Many thanks.
