The holiday season is here and with it comes all of the holiday festivities! Unfortunately, the holiday season also means COLD. It’s been freezing outside lately, making getting dressed a little more difficult. I want to look cute and festive, without sacrificing warmth this holiday season! When shopping, I’ve been looking for winter basics with a twist. Pieces that are easy to layer, cozy and warm, but also have a unique touch that makes them stand out! One of my go to’s for basics with a twist is the Topshop brand at Nordstrom! They carry my favorite closet basics, but always put a unique spin on them! I also love their on trend pieces that are easy to wear but still make a statement! One of the reasons I love shopping at Nordstrom, is because they carry the brand I love, like Topshop! It’s always easy to find what I’m looking for!

This Topshop cardigan sweater is a gorgeous shade of green, making it perfect for the holidays! It’s an easy piece to dress up or down, but what really makes it unique is the fun balloon sleeves. This unique spin on a classic style makes for a stand out piece that makes a statement without being too over the top! Pair this over a black mini dress with heeled booties for a party or style it over jeans and a tee for a more laid back affair.

My tee, jeans and booties are other winter basics I’ve added to my wardrobe this season, that each have their own twist on a classic style! I’ve been living in this under $30 twist front tee! It’s the perfect basic for layering, but the twist at the front adds a pretty little detail that I love! This pair of denim is AMAZING. They fit like a glove, are slightly cropped (perfect if you are under 5’4) and are high waisted…a twist on classic denim that I hope is here to stay! It also doesn’t hurt that they are under $100! Last but not least, my new mule booties. Closed at the front and open at the back, this is a shoe I know I will be wearing all year long!
