This year, I gifted myself with the Neumel boot. I’ve been spending more time outside at work and have been FREEZING. I needed something that looked a little more dressed up, but didn’t want to sacrifice comfort. My husband was gifted the men’s version last year and lived in them all winter. The laces give the vibe of a more classic boot, but they don’t lack any of the comforts of UGG.

My very favorite pair of UGGs are the Classic Mini II. These were a gift a few years ago and love them. After all, they are easy to wear, durable and so comfortable!  Best of all, the mini version is easy to slip on and off and goes with everything! There many color options too, making me want to snag a second pair of these cozy booties!

If you are still looking for a last minute Christmas gift, a pair of UGGs would make a great gift for anyone in your life! Nordstrom has the best selection of UGGs for men, women and kids. The best part? Nordstrom offers free shipping and easy free returns and has amazing customer service!

Layering from Fall to Winter with Backcountry

Living in the Pacific Northwest, we get to fully experience all 4 seasons. It’s one of the reasons I love most about living in our small town. Fall transitions to winter slowly, but the temperatures can be a little sporadic during this time. I’ve learned the key is layering and investing in pieces that can taken from one season to the next, and always find what I need at Backcountry!

For the past few years, I have purchased all my outerwear at Backcountry. They have SO many options when it comes to boots, jackets, scarves, hats and even fashionable lifestyle pieces that can be worn everyday! Backcountry carries all of my favorite brands, from Patagonia and North Face to Free People and Sorel. This makes layering up for chilly weather easy, practical and fashionable!

We live just minutes away from the mountains and have been doing a bit of exploring this fall. Each time we head out for a little weekend day date, I’ve been layering up as I never know where we are going to end up! Last weekend, we had plans to get lunch and do a little shopping in the the nearby town of Leavenworth, but ended up taking the scenic route and stopping to explore. We discovered a bridge that led to a hiking path and couldn’t stop ourselves from heading up the mountain!

In that moment, I was so thankful I was wearing my Patagonia Prairie Dawn Insulated Parka. I was drawn to this jacket for the color and longer length. I ended up being even more surprised by how warm and cozy it is! It’s sherpa lined and made of durable canvas. It’s great for everyday, or an outdoor adventure.

I had thoughtfully topped off my outfit with warm accessories before leaving, because I knew we could end up spending some time outside. It’s rare that I leave the house this time of year without a beanie, and this Columbia Winter Blur Pom Pom Beanie is cute AND warm. Lined with micro-fleece, this is an extremely cozy and practical option. My Pistil Bray Scarf would make a great gift for anyone living in a cold climate. It’s another practical piece, but the print is so much fun and brightens up any neutral outfit.

Sorel boots are a MUST for anyone ready to take on ice and snow in the winter. I got the Sorel Joan of Arctic Wedge II Shearling Boot last year and was so impressed, I ended up purchasing the Sorel Joan of Arctic Wedge II Cozy Boot this year. While these are wedge boots, they are extremely comfortable, easy to walk in, warm and toasty AND have amazing traction! We had multiple ice storms last year and I never had any issues getting around in my Sorel’s! During this outing, I had to balance on logs and climb over rocks. I had no trouble maneuvering over the terrain!

My sweater and jeans are both Free People pieces found at Backcountry! I was so excited to discover one of my all time favorite brands and that I could make Backcountry a one stop shop for my fall and winter layering needs! The Free People Angelic Pullover is the coziest oversized sweater. I size down in this brand because it runs oversized. This sweater is long enough to wear with leggings, which I love! My jeans are the Free People Raw High Rise Jegging, and so comfortable! Unlike the sweater, these run a bit small, so size up!

Backcountry is generously offering all Twenties Girl Style readers 15% off their order with code ASHLEY15 at checkout! Discount is valid on your first Backcountry purchase, exclusions apply.

Amazon Try On Haul – Finds Under $35

This weekend, I shared my first Amazon Haul via stories. This was a highly requested try on…who knew Amazon had so many amazing pieces?! All of them Amazon items I am sharing below are under $35. Most of these pieces are closet staples and can be worn year round. Stay tuned for another Amazon Haul coming your way soon! In the meantime, check out the try on haul on my stories if you missed it! It’s saved under TRY ONS.

Sweater // Bralette // Jeans // Slip on Sneakers, more animal print sneakers here

Sweater (Size: Small // Color: Lilac Grey // Price: $26): This sweater is perfectly oversized and one you will want to wear year round! It does run big, I am wearing a size small. This cutie looks great on or off the shoulder and is the perfect weight to wear into spring and summer!

Lace Bralette (Size: Small // Color: White // Price:$12.50):  I love a good bralette and this one is such a steal! At under $13, this piece is high quality and feels like it should be more expensive than it is. The lace on this bralette is SO pretty. I love that it has thicker straps too, making for the prettiest pop peeking underneath my tops.  The cups are padded, which was a nice surprise as many of my bralettes are not. This one comes in a bunch of colors and I will definitely be picking it up in a few more!

Bralette // Button Henley // Jeans

Button Henley (Size: Small // Color: Beige // Size: $25): I bought a few henley’s (see below), but this one was by far my favorite. I love the relaxed fit and that it’s a bit oversized. I ordered the beige color, but it definitely has a blush undertone which I LOVE!

Sweater // Jeans // Booties

Off the Shoulder Sweater (Size: S/M // Color: Khaki // Price: $27): This off the shoulder sweater is very oversized. I’m wearing the smallest size and it’s definitely on the larger side. However, I don’t mind and really love the oversized, slouchy fit! This is one that can be worn untucked or tucked in. If you are on the shorter side, this might even be worn as an off the shoulder sweater dress and would be so cute paired with OTK boots!

Henley Top // Jeans // White Sneakers

Henley Top (Size: Small // Color: Navy // Price: $20): This is the other henley top I mentioned that I bought. I ended up ordering this one in a few colors and really love the fit and length. This is another piece that comes in a ton of color options and you really can’t beat the $20 price tag! I’m wearing a small, but suggest sizing up if you want a looser, more oversized fit!

Fleece Pullover // Jeans // White Sneakers

Contrast Color Quarter Zip Fleece (Size: Small // Color: Light Grey // Price: $28): Hands down my FAVORITE Amazon purchase! I’ve had this fleece pullover since last year and it’s one of my most worn pieces. I reach for this cozy piece frequently, especially after a long day of work. I love the contrasting colors and that it’s fuzzy on the inside and out.

Pullover // Jeans // Slip on Sneakers

Casual Pullover Sweatshirt (Size: Small // Color: Dark Grey // Price: $24): A great crewneck pullover is a closet staple. This one is under $25 and is so easy to throw on! The split hem adds a flattering touch and the longer length is great for paring with leggings!

Distressed Sweater // Hat // White Skinnies // Booties

Distressed Sweater (Size: One Size // Color: Orange Pink // Price: $23): I know not everyone is a fan of this distressed sweater look, but I adore this one! The color is gorgeous for spring and summer and the distressed hem adds a fun touch. This sweater is quite a bit cropped, but pairs perfectly with high waisted bottoms. I can’t wait to wear this one in the summer with shorts! If you are not a fan of the cropped look, this is one you might want to skip out on!

Hat (Color: Camel // Price: $18): I’ve had this hat for awhile and completely forgot about it until recently. I’ve been wearing it so much lately! It’s under $18 and such a steal! Mine came with two bands, that can easily be changed out. It comes in a ton of colors and is the perfect piece to top off any outfit!

Long Sleeve Tee // White Skinnies // Booties

Long Sleeve Tee (Size: S 2-4 // Color: Gray // Price: $18): This long sleeve top fits even cuter than the photos! This is the gray option and I love the color! Online it looks slightly more green than it is, so please note that the gray color is actually a pretty dove gray. This top is longer in the back. It’s a closet staple that can be worn from season to season!

One Piece Swimsuit // Sandals

Leopard One Piece Swimsuit (Size: Small // Price: $30): If you’ve followed me for awhile, you know I am a sucker for a cute suit! Even though it’s still FREEZING here, I’ve already picked up a few for the summer, and surprise, surprise, majority of them are leopard print. This suit is only $30 and I am obsessed! It comes with padding and the fit is pretty great. Moderate back coverage and really cute side cutouts.

Cover-up //Sandals

Cover Up (Color: Off White // Price: $19): I can’t get over this cover up! It is SO CUTE! The under $20 price tag makes this cutie such a steal! My one complaint is the sizing, as it is a one size piece. I love the pretty crochet detailing and that a bit of suit peeks through.
