Valentine’s Date Night

Red Ruffle Crochet Dress // Leopard Coat // Ankle Strap Sandals // Karen Walker Sunnies // Bag, Similar Here

It’s the week of love and I’ve been wearing alllll the red and pink! I ordered this sweet red ruffle crochet mini dress for a wedding this past weekend and I was bummed it didn’t arrive in time. It might be the cutest little red dress to ever land in my closet! From the flirty hem to the ruffle detailing on the shoulders, this mini turns out all the charm. I love that it can be dressed up or down. I can’t wait to wear it to a wedding this summer, but thought it would also make the perfect Valentine’s date night dress!

This leopard coat is SO cozy and under $50! It’s the perfect piece to dress up, but it also looks super cute with distressed denim, a white tee and a pair of sneaks. Pairing it over my little red dress not only ensures I stay cozy, but also adds a fun pop!

If you are looking for a great pair of ankle strap sandals, you have to snag these! A great pair of heeled sandals are a closet staple as they can be paired with just about anything! They come in a TON of color options (including pink…which I definitely have my eye on!), but I love the nude because of how versatile it is!

Happy New Year!

This is my first post of 2018! I’ve taken a little time off this winter break, and have enjoyed a little R&R with my hubby and pup!  My winter break has officially come to an end though and school is back in session January 3rd. I am definitely going to miss lazy mornings and my comfy clothes, but it will be nice to get back to a routine! I am excited for the new year and all of the new content I am planning to bring to the blog! Look for a post on the most popular items on Twenties Girl Style in 2017 later this week!

It has been SO cold here. I’ve been living in my coziest pieces and bundling up whenever I leave the house. I am looking for all of the ways to stay warm but still look cute! One of my favorite combos? A chunky, oversized sweater, a skirt and over the knee boots. Over the knee boots are one of my favorite ways to stay warm and toasty without losing the style factor. These boots are currently on sale and I have been wearing them non-stop! They come in a few different colors, but this color is so easy to style! It’s not too early to start thinking Valentine’s day, and this outfit is already on my list of contenders for a Valentine’s day date with E!

Ring in the New Year in Sequins

Sequin Dress // Blue Velvet Heels // Similar Jackets Here and Here // Bag, Similar Here

Can you believe that there are only TWO days left of 2017?? Where did this year go? I’m reminiscing on the best of 2017 and making my resolutions for the new year! At the top of my resolutions list? Get to the gym! Anybody else have this cliche resolution on their list (this year and every year….)?

This New Years Eve look is a little late, but would you believe that this dress is one I picked up TARGET for just $25?! It’s the perfect little sequin mini to ring in the new year and I love that it doesn’t break the bank! Want to dress it down, but keep the drama of the sparkle? Layer a cozy pullover sweater over the top for a top+skirt combo. This option would not only be cute, but add a little more warmth to your NYE getup!

I kept this look pretty neutral, but couldn’t help adding a pop of color with these fun blue velvet heels. These cuties are super comfortable, easy to walk in and will take me right into spring! I LOVE the velvet aspect too!!

Our NYE plans are still up in the air. It’s been so cold outside that swapping this cute sequin mini for a comfy pair of joggers and my favorite cozy blanket are looking better by the day. What are your NYE plans?

A Dress Fit for the Holidays

Sheer floral dress with booties and a sherpa coat

Sheer Floral Dress // Similar Jackets Here and Here //Booties // Bag, Similar Here

The holiday season is upon us and with it comes the holiday party invites. Most of the holiday parties I will attend this season will be low key and call for more casual outfits…think sweaters, sweater dresses and over the knee boots. However, there are always a handful of opportunities that require something dressier (check out last year’s look here). I love finding stand out pieces for these occasions and am happy to say I found mine this year…this is a dress fit for the holidays!

The moment I saw this dress I fell in love. This unique piece is a real stunner and can be worn year round (it also comes in black). A simple slip dress is outdone by a gorgeous sheer floral embroidered overlay. You could easily pair this dress with heels, but I embraced the chill and paired it with a great pair of booties. I topped it all off with a sherpa coat creating a dreamy winter look that is only missing a winter wonderland backdrop.
