Now that summer is quickly approaching and sunshine and warm weather are upon us, I am eagerly getting dressed in the morning. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good pair of boots and cozy scarf like any girl, but it is SO hard to get up and get dressed in the morning in the winter knowing no matter what I put on, I am going to be cold. I am a summer girl through and through! Things are so much simpler in the summertime, including getting dressed! I can throw on light-weight pieces, not having to stress about layering up, and bright colors and sunshine are in abundance. Can you tell I am just a tad excited??

I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of distressed skinnies and I hit the jackpot with these from Blank NYC! I am not sure how I have never heard about them before, but they have quickly become my favorite denim brand. The best part?? They are a total score at under $100! In fact, most of the Blank NYC  denim line is under $100! They are so comfortable, I love the wash and distressing and the fit is perfect (I ordered my typical denim size!). They have already been on repeat this past week and you can plan for them to be repeat offenders around here! I absolutely loved the laid back look of them paired with this embroidered off the shoulder top, bright clutch and wedges!

It’s officially March and the first day of spring is just weeks away. I can hardly contain my excitement as I am a warm weather girl through and through. I am so looking forward to sundresses, sandals, swimsuits and days at the beach. I am also beyond excited for August 1st…the day I become a Mrs! Yes, we have officially set a date and kicked our butts into full on wedding planning gear. I always figured there was a lot to do with planning a wedding, but whew!! There is A LOT to do! Tack that on top of my first full year of teaching and I am one busy girl. So far we have the venue, caterer and DJ locked down, but everything else is still up in the air. I also don’t have my dress yet! I have faith that it will all come together soon!

Days like this past weekend make things a lot easier though, as the sunshine definitely acts as a stress reliever for me! I was thrilled to get to put on some skinny jeans, a tee and a kimono and enjoy the (almost) 60 degree weather. Layering some bracelets and a tassel necklace, I felt reminiscent of my care-free summer days.

I am literally obsessing over these accessories, and loved having a more basic outfit to really make them pop! This tassel necklace from Boho Beads is my newest obsession. They have the CUTEST tassel jewelry and I can’t wait to add a few more to my spring and summer wardrobe. They are super high quality and there are way too many fun color combos to choose from!

As for my other jewelry obsession, this bangle bracelet has been in every one of my arm stacks lately. These pictures really don’t do it justice as it’s intricate design is stunning. Oh, and it’s on sale! I can’t wait to show you more ways to layer this bangle and other fabulous pieces from Honeybee Boutique!

Have a fabulous Monday!

Hey guys! I am so sorry I have been so MIA! I spent about a week dealing with technical difficulties including camera, computer AND phone issues. Whoop-de-doo! Why do bad things always come in threes?! Any how, today I am back and hopefully back to regular programing:)

This outfit is my favorite type of thing to wear…comfy and casual. This is my typical Sunday attire for running errands, and I love that I can quickly swap out the jeans (which are already ridiculously comfortable) for leggings for lounging around the house.

This bralette from Aerie is the epitome of perfection. I love bralette’s for the summer time, as they are perfect for light layering, but I love them even more in the winter and fall. I don’t know about you, but sometimes wearing a bra feels absolutely restricting. Bralette’s allow for comfort and get the job done (well, for those of us like myself who are a part of the itty bitty committee). In the fall and winter when I am wearing huge chunky sweaters, I love wearing a bralette underneath for comfort, and if the bralette is as pretty as this one, a hint of pretty lace adds such a perfect touch of romance.

This bralette is already my ALL TIME FAVORITE. Since receiving it, I’ve ordered a few more in different colors as it is just too perfect for lounging and layering!
