Embroidered Ruffle Mini Dress

We are half way through January and Valentine’s Day is just a month away! A few weeks ago I shared a Valentine’s look featuring the cutest velvet mini skirt, and am excited to share a few more before the day of love arrives!

This embroidered ruffle mini dress is the sweetest option for Valentine’s day! Not only does it have the prettiest embroidery, but the ruffles add a fun feminine touch! I love that this mini can be worn year round too! I plan on wearing it in the spring and summer with a denim jacket and wedges but paired it with a cozy, chunky knit cardigan and booties for a chilly winter day.

Happy Monday friends! I’ve been a little MIA this past week, giving myself some time to start the new year fresh. It’s always difficult getting back into the swing of things after a prolonged break, so I spent last week adjusting to my schedule and planning some new content! I’ve got some best of 2017 posts coming this week and some exciting things in store for Twenties Girl Style in 2018!

Today I am sharing one of my favorite winter looks. I’ve been wearing this pom cardigan non-stop, layering it over all of my favorite tops. This cutie comes in a ton of colors and even comes in a kiddie version! The pom detailing adds a fun and unique spin to this classic cardi shape and it’s so warm! The perfect chunky knit to add to your closet this winter!

This knot front tee is one of my favorites and a must have for layering! It is currently on sale for just $18. I actually ordered a few of these because of how often I was wearing mine. It’s a great layering tee and you really can’t beat the price!

A Dress Fit for the Holidays

The holiday season is upon us and with it comes the holiday party invites. Most of the holiday parties I will attend this season will be low key and call for more casual outfits…think sweaters, sweater dresses and over the knee boots. However, there are always a handful of opportunities that require something dressier (check out last year’s look here). I love finding stand out pieces for these occasions and am happy to say I found mine this year…this is a dress fit for the holidays!

The moment I saw this dress I fell in love. This unique piece is a real stunner and can be worn year round (it also comes in black). A simple slip dress is outdone by a gorgeous sheer floral embroidered overlay. You could easily pair this dress with heels, but I embraced the chill and paired it with a great pair of booties. I topped it all off with a sherpa coat creating a dreamy winter look that is only missing a winter wonderland backdrop.

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! I did a whole lot of nothing this weekend, which was pretty wonderful. Sometimes there is nothing more relaxing than spending the day in your comfy clothes, catching up on your favorite shows! The weather also changed drastically over the weekend, going from 80 degrees one day to 60 the next. It’s supposed to be in the 60’s all week so I am excited to pull out my boots and sweaters!

This dress is perfect for fall! I love the embroidered detailing and that it has long sleeves. I’ve been wearing it all summer with my favorite espadrilles, but plan on wearing it to work this week with a cozy cardigan and booties! It’s the perfect dress for the classroom!
