Spring has arrived and I could not be more ready! But just because it’s spring, doesn’t mean that the weather necessarily got the memo! There hasn’t been a magical change in temps, and the weather still hovers just below 50 degrees, but I have put my winter gear away and am not looking back!

With spring on the brain, but chilly temps still in the forecast, I’ve been adding lightweight sweaters in pretty shades of neutrals and pastels. I love a good lightweight sweater to pair with denim now and shorts on warmer spring days or summer nights! I always love checking the Halogen section when shopping at Nordstrom. This exclusive brand offers classic pieces with a trendy twist at affordable prices! This twist back sweater jumped out at me when I was browsing Halogen and I added it to my cart immediately. The quality is AMAZING for the price and I love the fun twist back detail! The best part about this sweater is that you can wear a regular bra! That’s right…the back doesn’t show any straps!! It also doesn’t fall off the shoulders and is super comfortable. I’ve worn this cutie multiple ways since picking it up! If pink is not your jam, this sweater comes in 2 other great color options! It’s the perfect piece to transition into warmer weather…check out how I styled it with shorts below!

Are you in need of some sweet sweaters to add to your wardrobe for the new season? You are in luck! I’m rounding up some of my current favorite neutral and pastel sweaters from Nordstrom! Shop them below!

Polkadots and Overalls

Polka Dot Top // Overalls, more overall options here // Dolce Vita Booties // Karen Walker Sunglasses // Clare V Bag //

If I had to pick ONE piece of clothing in my wardrobe to name as my all time favorite, it would have to be these overalls. I traveled down a rabbit hole trying to figure out when I first featured them and found this post from 2014, when E, my then boyfriend-now husband, got them for me for my birthday. I have officially been rocking these cuties for 4 YEARS.

Over the years, I have styled these overalls so many ways (check out a few looks here). They have held up so well, withstanding many washes and wears and they still look brand new! This exact pair is still in stock and now come in a variety of colors and washes (this is the Brady wash). I actually just splurged on this pair, and love the lighter wash and even slimmer fit.

One of my favorite ways to wear overalls is with a ruffley top. I feel like the ruffles add a feminine touch and dress them up a bit. I actually wore this exact combo to work on Valentine’s Day! This top is perfect for work or the weekend and is the prettiest shade of blush!

Have you given overalls a chance? If so I would love to see how you styled them! Drop your blog links below!

Happy Monday!

Or should I say Happy Halloween! Monday is a lot sweeter when it lands on such a fun holiday! My plans for tonight include curling up under a blanket, watching a spooky movie and probably eating half of the candy meant for trick or treaters. I might even pull out my kitty cat or Minnie mouse ears because Halloween is the perfect excuse to dress up.

This rust colored shift dress would be the perfect piece to dress up for tonight. I can already envision how cute this ensemble would be with kitty ears! The perfect Halloween outfit for someone who wants to get in to the spirit on a low-key level. It comes in 4 colors and is under $50 and I’m already imagining how many ways I will wear it over the next few months! I plan on sharing another way I love to wear it next week!

Flirty Red Dress

Red Dress c/o Chicwish // Sam Edelman Sandals // Clare V. Clutch // 3-Disc Necklace

There is nothing better than a little red dress. There is just something about a bright red number that boosts my confidence and makes me feel like a million bucks. I was never a huge fan of red, but recently fell in love when I discovered the confidence boosting powers this fierce color can hold.

This little red number is the ultimate LRD. It’s off the shoulder, but what I adore most are the flirty frilly details around the neck and shoulders. I’ve been loving simpler styling, with minimalistic jewelry and love that this dress looks fabulous with just a printed clutch and a pair of lace up sandals. This is definitely my new date night dress!
