Staying Cozy At Home and On the Go

My winter break officially starts Friday and I could not be more ready! All I want to do is spend the day in my coziest pjs, wrapped up in a snuggly blanket with a cup of hot cocoa and binge watch Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel. Anybody else feel me? There really is nothing better than being nice and toasty inside when it’s so cold outside! With the holidays looming, the never ending list of errands makes this cozy dream impossible. Leaving my house is inevitable, and while dealing with the frigid temperatures is a given, dressing in comfy cozy pieces makes it more bearable!

When shopping for cozy pieces for around the house AND for going out, I always check the Topshop section at Nordstrom. Not only do they carry the cutest knits and outerwear, but they also have a great selection of cute pj sets and loungewear.

My favorite thing about winter break is spending lazy mornings around the house, before running errands in the afternoon. I love waking up, staying in my pjs and enjoying a cup of coffee while catching up on emails or wrapping presents. Enjoying a lazy morning is not something I get to do during the work week, and I can’t tell you how much I enjoy it! After a lazy morning, I feel refreshed and relaxed and ready to take on the rest of the day! This pj set is one of my current favorites! I love that I can wear it year round and I can’t get enough of the print! Paired with this cozy robe, I am all set for a lazy morning! Both of these pieces would make great Christmas gifts!

When heading out to run errands and get lunch with E (another one of my FAVORITE winter break activities…teachers don’t get to go out to lunch during the work week!), I opt for cozy knits that will keep me warm. While I love layering up, I also love a cute sweater dress. It’s one of my favorite ways to feel comfy and cozy all while feeling cute and put together! This sweater dress is SO warm! It’s made of a thicker knit, so it’s perfect for the winter! Styling tip…pair your sweater dresses with over the knee boots in the winter. It’s a great way to stay warm!

Can you believe there are less than 50 days until Christmas? It’s crazy to think about, but the holidays will be here before we know it! Now is the perfect time to get ahead of the holiday hustle and bustle and start your Christmas shopping early! I’ve already started making a list of goodies to pick up for my loved ones! At the top of the list? Cozy footwear!

Growing up, cozy slippers or boots were always at the top of my wish list. I asked for a new pair every year, and would slip them on moments after opening them and practically live in them until a new pair took their place the following year. Is there anything better than fuzzy slippers or boots to beat the winter chill?

My cozy footwear came early this year, in the form of the Classic Mini Boots from Koolaburra by UGG. They are the sister brand to UGG and at an extremely reasonable price point (under $100!). They are SO cozy and comfortable, that i’ve been wearing them snuggled up around the house and for running errands. I even wore them on a little family outing to the family orchard, and despite the chilly temps, my feet stayed nice and toasty!

The entire Koolaburra line is all about being laid back and comfortable and who doesn’t love that? I know a few people in my life who would love these mini boots or even some of the slipper options (check out the Milo Slippers ($55) or the Margo Moccasin ($60) ).  I am still in awe of the quality of these boots at their reasonable price points.  Keep your loved ones cozy this winter with a gift from Koolaburra by UGG

Cozy Draped Cardigan

Cardigan: Loft (on sale!)  // Top: Nordstrom // Jeans: Similar // Necklace: Bauble Bar // Shoes: Steve Madden (now available in blush!!) // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, similar //

I’ve been loving neutral pieces that I can mix and match to create effortless outfits that still look chic. When I received this cardigan, I knew this would become my go to. It is literally the SOFTEST sweater ever! It feels more like I am wrapped in a cozy blanket than dressed for work or a dinner date. It comes in 3 colors and I already have the other two colors sitting in my cart…yes, it’s that good!!

 Happy Thursday!

I’m definitely looking forward to this weekend and catching up on some sleep! Friday really can’t come soon enough!

Today’s look is one that I’ve had on repeat lately. Do you ever have an outfit that you’re semi obsessed with and wouldn’t mind wearing over and over? That is this outfit for me lately! I must admit I’ve worn this same exact combo at least 3 times in the past two weeks….oops. And as if that is not bad enough, I’ve practically lived in these boots since I got them and they have turned me into HUGE Duo fan! I am obsessed with the fact that they are OTK and love how comfy they are. I definitely recommend! I might even have to wear these all the way into the spring….
