What do you do when it’s fall and still 80 degrees?? You wear something light and breezy in fall shades of course! Just when I thought the weather was cooling down, it heats up again to the 80’s. It makes wearing fall clothing some what impossible, as layering scarfs and sweaters only makes for a sweltering day. However, the forecast is calling for dropping temps in the next few days, so maybe fall weather really is just around the corner!
You know I’m a true summer girl, so I really don’t mind the warm days! This little dress was the perfect  transition dress as it has a fun print with a good mix of cool and warm colors! I paired it with a maroon floppy hat and my all time favorite booties. I swear I wear these booties more than any other shoe in my closet! They recently just re-stocked them, so I definitely recommend getting a pair!

This week’s blogger of the week from last week’s link up is Mae of Mae Amor! I am in absolute love with Mae’s look from head to toe! She looks so chic in in printed blouse and grey mules (can I add these to my wardrobe ASAP?!). This is an outfit I will be repeating ASAP! Such a wonderful fall look, Mae!

Fall Essentials

It’s that time of year again! Fall leaves, scarves, boots and pumpkin spice lattes! I am sad to see summer go, but am ready to embrace all things fall. Unfortunately, it’s still been pretty hot here (this weekend it reached 100), so you might see a few more summer outfits around these parts until it cools down. In the meantime, see what’s included in my top 5 fall essentials below! It’s not fall without a good pair of booties and a plaid scarf, but I am really craving a good fringe bag! Checkout a few of my favorite fringe bag options here!

What’s at the top of your fall essential list??

iboteak Embroidered Dress

Dress: Embroidered Tassel Dress c/o iboteak // Boots: Sam Edelman ‘Paige’ Fringed Ankle Booties in Putty Suede (one of my #nsale picks!) // Hat: Mott 50 ‘Giselle’ c/o  //
Bag: Tory Burch ‘Perry tote’ c/o // Ring: Kendra Scott //

My obsession with this iboteak dress is slightly out of control. I have turned it into a ‘wear for every occasion’ type piece and have repurposed it as a dress, top, swimsuit coverup…you name it! You know when you find a piece of clothing that’s almost too good to be true and you want to literally wear it ALL of the time?! That is this dress! It has the perfect flowy fit, gauzy lightweight fabric, embroidered detailing and to top it off…tassels! I can’t wait to wear this in the fall with black leggings and OTK boots! Eek! I am almost wishing it was cool enough to wear it like that now!

Dressed in Stripes with Mott 50

Dress: Mott 50 ‘Toni’ Boatneck Dress c/o // Shoes: Dolce Vita // Hat: Mott 50 ‘Giselle’ c/o // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff // Ring: Kendra Scott  //

Would you believe me if I told you this outfit was 50 UPF (ultraviolet protection factor)? Meaning I can wear this outfit out to the beach and look absolutely chic while protecting my skin from those harmful UV rays. It’s the truth! Despite how adorable this outfit is, it’s made with special ultraviolet protection that helps protect from the sun. Mott 50 is a fairly new company that offers “fashion-forward sun protective clothing in soft, lightweight fabrics.” After wearing this dress for the past few weeks (yes, it has been on major repeat), I have become a huge Mott 50 fan! Not only is this dress comfortable, but it also has a flattering fit and can easily be transitioned into the fall with boots! I love knowing that I can wear this out in the heat of the day and my skin is also being protected from those harsh summertime rays! I’m not saying this is a good alternative to sunscreening, but rather an extra layer of protection!

One of my absolute favorite things about this dress, is it is so on trend with the stripe pattern! I am loving all striped dresses lately, from t-shirt to maxi dresses! Shop some adorable striped options here
