A Dress Fit for the Holidays

The holiday season is upon us and with it comes the holiday party invites. Most of the holiday parties I will attend this season will be low key and call for more casual outfits…think sweaters, sweater dresses and over the knee boots. However, there are always a handful of opportunities that require something dressier (check out last year’s look here). I love finding stand out pieces for these occasions and am happy to say I found mine this year…this is a dress fit for the holidays!

The moment I saw this dress I fell in love. This unique piece is a real stunner and can be worn year round (it also comes in black). A simple slip dress is outdone by a gorgeous sheer floral embroidered overlay. You could easily pair this dress with heels, but I embraced the chill and paired it with a great pair of booties. I topped it all off with a sherpa coat creating a dreamy winter look that is only missing a winter wonderland backdrop.

Orange Floral Ruffle Mini Dress

Orange Floral Ruffle Mini Dress, more sizes here // Boots // Bag

The moment I saw this orange floral ruffle mini dress, I knew it was perfect for fall! I love the vibrant color and the small floral print, but what sold me was the ruffle detailing! Who doesn’t love a good ruffle?! I also love that it has long sleeves, essential for the cooler fall temps! I plan on wearing this orange floral ruffle mini dress to work sometime this week for Halloween! This sweet mini is the perfect way to get in to the festive spirit without going over the top!

Now, I have to share my obsession with these boots! If you’ve been looking for a great pair of boots to invest in this fall, these are the ones for you! I have been wearing these non-stop from work to the weekends. Despite having a heel, these are extremely comfortable and easy to walk in. They come in 3 colors (black, dark grey and caramel) but I was drawn to the “golden caramel” finding it the perfect shade for fall. They go with just about everything and I love the suede. They don’t go over the knee, but just below which is a great height, especially if you aren’t a fan of OTK boots or it’s a trend you are nervous to try! I love wearing them with skinny jeans and black pants, but especially love pairing them with dresses (as seen here and here).

October 31st is storybook character day at school and I’m still not too sure who to be! I need an easy costume to pull together that my first graders will know. I’m thinking Junie B. Jones is an easy option but would love any suggestions!! Leave me some ideas below!

Cheers to a great week babes!

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and a great Easter Sunday! E and I spent ours with our families, and enjoyed not one, but two Easter meals. I was SO stuffed last night, I ended up in my pjs and on the couch by 7pm. That’s one of the awesome things about being married though, getting to celebrate twice! It was a wonderful day spent with our loved ones!

I have been living in this sweet little swing dress lately! It has the CUTEST fit and I love the floral print! It’s the epitome of a spring dress! This was going to be my Easter dress, but I ended up going with something else (stay tuned…it will be on the blog soon). However, I have been wearing this dress everywhere! It comes in a few different prints (linked below), and I am considering getting this one, because blush and mauve stripes…duh!!

Floral Spring Dress

I can’t get enough of this pretty spring dress! Nothing’s better than a good floral print dress! The length of this option makes this a perfect dress to wear to work or on a laid-back, sunny Saturday! For work, I would pair this with wedges and a denim jacket, but for weekend wear, I paired it with my FAVORITE booties and a long cardigan
