The Denim Mini You Need

Top // Denim Mini // Slide Sandals // Hat // Basket Bag // Taudrey ‘Pearly Girl’ Necklace and Taudrey ‘Simply Pretty’ Choker

I have been looking for the perfect denim mini for ages. In middle school, I had two denim mini’s (one from Hollister and one from Abercrombie) that were at the top of my closet rotation. I wore them frequently and felt like a million bucks every time I wore one out of the house. I loved them so much in fact that I hung on to them for way too long, keeping them tucked in the back of my closet for a rainy day. The day I finally purged my closet of them, I realized that they weren’t actually that flattering (boxy and so low waisted…was this really the style?!), and I vowed to find a better one to replace them with.

As the years passed, many denim mini’s have come and gone, but nothing that has been worthy of the sacred denim mini spot. That is until this little number entered my closet! It’s only fitting that this skirt comes from the same place as one of the originals, but this one is SO MUCH BETTER! There are so many reasons to love this mini. First off, the wash is a perfect light wash that goes with everything. It has just the right amount of distressing and has a high-waisted fit, making it perfect for tucking tops into or wearing with crop tops! Bonus, the price tag isn’t one that breaks the bank! At only $58, it’s the perfect denim mini to pick up if you want to try it out but don’t want to spend a fortune!

Since purchasing this mini, it has quickly become one of my closet staples. I love dressing it up with wedges and a pretty blouse or down with sneakers and a tee! I paired it with this flirty little tank and some sandals for a brunch date a few weeks ago. Speaking of this tank, it’s only $16 and such a cute summer find. The color is more of a pale yellow than it appears in the photos, one of my current favorites for summer!

One of my New Years resolutions was to workout consistently. I started BBG, and while somedays it totally kicks my booty, I’m loving the changes I see taking place! I feel stronger and am feeling more toned and fit…and I’m only 4 weeks in! I can’t wait to see the results when the 12 week program ends!

One HUGE motivator for me is cute workout gear. I don’t know about you, but cute gear always helps me get up and get moving. While browsing for some new pieces to freshen up my workout wardrobe, I stumbled across these fun palm print leggings and had to give them a try! For $20, they are a steal and SO cute! I ended up snagging a cute cutout sports bra and a breezy open back tank to complete my look and spent UNDER $50!

I will definitely be ordering some more pieces! Check out what I have my eye on!

Black + Gold for NYE

Black Sweater (on sale!) // Pleated Metallic Skirt ($25!) // Earrings // Black Booties // Bracelet // Rebecca Minkoff Handbag

Happy Wednesday friends!

Being on winter break, I actually forgot what day it was. I spent all yesterday doing absolutely nothing. I stayed in my pjs, didn’t do my hair or makeup and just binged watched Netflix shows. Sometimes you just need one of those days to fully feel relaxed!

I’ve been obsessed with the midi skirt trend, so the moment I saw this pleated gold option, I knew I had to order it! This is such a fun skirt for the holidays or even a winter date night! I styled it with an easy black sweater (this one is currently on sale for under $30) for the perfect NYE look, but have also worn it with a loose tank and faux leather jacket for date night with the hubs. At just $25 this is a fun piece to add to your wardrobe to mix things up this winter!
