Winter is just around the corner and I’ve been stocking up on ALL the cozy layers! From sweaters to scarves and beanies, I’m all about pieces that will keep me warm but are still cute and on trend! The latest trend I’ve been obsessing over? Teddy Bear coats! This top trend is functional yet stylish and SO much fun! I am convinced your closet needs one for winter!

I’ve been seeing teddy bear coats all over the place and knew I needed to add one to my closet! When browsing the trend section at Nordstrom, I found so many great options at all different price points! I can always count on Nordstrom to have the best selection of on trend pieces! With so many options and brands I adore, I am always sure to find something to love!

I put this cozy option in my cart the moment I saw it! It also comes in a more neutral shade (ivory), but I loved this copper tone. It’s been one of my favorite colors this season. This coat has quickly become one of my go to options, because not only is it cute and cozy, but it’s SO WARM! It truly makes me feel like a snuggly little teddy bear! This coat is perfect for the frigid winter days ahead. I wore it out with the coziest lightweight sweater from Nordstrom BP underneath on a day when it was around 30 degrees and felt nice and toasty (coming from someone who is ALWAYS cold, this means a lot!).  Any time I can be cute AND warm, I’m sold!

The moment I saw this orange floral ruffle mini dress, I knew it was perfect for fall! I love the vibrant color and the small floral print, but what sold me was the ruffle detailing! Who doesn’t love a good ruffle?! I also love that it has long sleeves, essential for the cooler fall temps! I plan on wearing this orange floral ruffle mini dress to work sometime this week for Halloween! This sweet mini is the perfect way to get in to the festive spirit without going over the top!

Now, I have to share my obsession with these boots! If you’ve been looking for a great pair of boots to invest in this fall, these are the ones for you! I have been wearing these non-stop from work to the weekends. Despite having a heel, these are extremely comfortable and easy to walk in. They come in 3 colors (black, dark grey and caramel) but I was drawn to the “golden caramel” finding it the perfect shade for fall. They go with just about everything and I love the suede. They don’t go over the knee, but just below which is a great height, especially if you aren’t a fan of OTK boots or it’s a trend you are nervous to try! I love wearing them with skinny jeans and black pants, but especially love pairing them with dresses (as seen here and here).

October 31st is storybook character day at school and I’m still not too sure who to be! I need an easy costume to pull together that my first graders will know. I’m thinking Junie B. Jones is an easy option but would love any suggestions!! Leave me some ideas below!

This ruffle sleeve mini dress might be the cutest item in my closet! This summer I had a huge crush on anything with ruffle sleeves and even though the season has changed, my love for all things ruffles remains! The moment I spotted this ruffle sleeve mini dress, I knew it was the perfect little summer mini. I wore this quite a few times this summer, from a dinner date to a day on the lake (see how I styled it here) When I rotated my wardrobe from summer to fall (anybody else do this?), I had a hard time putting this one away. I decided to keep it out and bring it into the colder season with me!

This ruffle sleeve mini dress is the perfect neutral for layering! I paired it with a cozy plaid scarf in autumn tones ( only $26!) and my favorite (and most comfortable) heeled boots for a fall Saturday. As the weather gets colder, this mini dress will be perfect paired with some leggings! I actually plan on wearing this exact same outfit with leggings to work! It’s the perfect cute and casual outfit, but I love the fun touch the ruffle sleeves add! It’s official, this ruffle mini will be on repeat all year long!

I can’t believe it’s already mid-October! I feel like this month is flying by! October is one of my favorite months in the classroom as our class learns all about pumpkins. The past few years, we have even carved pumpkins in class, and despite the craziness that always ensues, I love watching my firsties with this hands on experience. Speaking of pumpkins, I have yet to make my way to the pumpkin patch this year and I hope to before the end of the month! Have you been to the pumpkin patch yet?

Happy Wednesday, babes! I am definitely feeling a mid-week slump as this is my first full week back to work and it just feels like it’s creeping by. I’ve definitely thought today was Thursday more than once. Doesn’t it feel like it should be Thursday?? 

When I saw my favorite jeans are now available in the perfect shade of olive green, I had to snag them! At under $100, these jeans are the perfect pair for fall and I love the busted knee look! I paired them with a cute striped peplum top for an easy weekend look. This peplum tee is the SOFTEST thing I have ever felt and under $30!
