How to Wear Overalls: Casual Meets Chic + #WIWT

Overalls: Free People // Top: Old Navy (on sale for $10!) // Sweater: c/o Joyworks //

Shoes: Nordstrom BP ‘Trolley’ // Necklace: c/o Taudrey // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff // Sunnies: Ray-Ban //

I have been obsessed with overalls for a few years now. I got these a couple years ago for my birthday and they have become a staple in my wardrobe. I often have people tell me they struggle with styling them, but I truly think they are one of the easiest pieces to style…just think of them as a unique pair of jeans!

Starting today, every Thursday this March, I will be sharing a different way I style overalls.

Today’s look is a casual way I would style them for running errands or for a Friday at work! Pairing them with a nicer tee and a sweater is an easy way that is laid-back but not too casual. I dress it up a bit more by cuffing the legs and adding a pair of heeled booties. Swapping out the shoes for a pair of sneakers would give this outfit a totally different vibe!

Layered Maxi

Sweater: Free People ‘Shaggy Knit Pullover’ // sold out – similar

Dress: Cheeky Peach Boutique c/o

Booties: Nordstrom BP ‘Trolley’

Hat: Target – love this option

Earrings: Forever 21

One of the things I love most about spring is being able to transition some of my favorite summer pieces in! One of my go to combos this time of year is my favorite maxi dresses paired with over sized sweaters. I love the sweet boho vibes and how comfortable it is!

When I received this dress from Cheeky Peach Boutique, I automatically put it on to wear out to dinner. It didn’t matter that it was raining, or freezing, I had to wear it. I’m sure we have all done that at some point or another in our lives! The easiest, most wearable way to style this fab dress for the weather, was to throw a chunky knit sweater over the top, and add a floppy hat and booties. I’m going on vacation soon though and am excited to wear this maxi all by itself! I can’t wait for you to see the gorgeous detailing on this dress (if you really can’t wait, you can check it out here…also check out this tassel dress that I am obsessing over)!

Who Wears Short Shorts

The 100 degree temperatures have left me wearing swimsuits pretty much every day. I live in the pool or the lake near my house, emerging only when necessary. It is so hot, but I can’t complain as I have craved the heat for so long.
I have never been much of a shorts girl, preferring dresses or skirts in the summer months, but  lately I have found I have become OBSESSED. I love anything and everything from high waisted, neon brights and studs to cute prints, lacy details and yes, even ode’s to America. Who wears short shorts? This girl!
