The temps are dropping and it’s time to start layering up. There is nothing I love more this time of year than an oversized cardigan. A chunky, cozy, oversized cardi is one of my closet staples and something I can live in all fall and winter long!

When I spotted this oversized cardi option, I knew it would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe! I love the neutral color, making it easy to style with anything and everything. This cardi is a bit pricier, but so worth it as it’s made of a heavy duty knit and is oh so cozy! This knit is the perfect alternative to a coat on chilly fall days and will be the ultimate layering piece with the temps turn frigid this winter!

Happy Tuesday!

I must apologize for the lack of posts lately! I’ve had a hard time balancing both blogging and teaching this winter. I’ve always been satisfied with just sharing outfit posts, but recently I have been wanting to branch out and share more creative content. The trouble is, I’ve found myself in a creative rut this winter. If I’m being totally honest, it’s been difficult for me to even write the blog posts. I still love sharing my outfits with you, but when it comes to writing about them I feel at a loss for words. I feel excited for spring because I think a change of season is just what I need to bring a fresh perspective to Twenties Girl Style. I’ve got a few ideas rolling around in my head and I can’t wait to see where they take me. Stay tuned, friends!!

Now on to my outfit…you’ve already seen the cardigan version of this sweater. I can’t get enough of it. Of course when I saw the pullover sweater option, I knew I needed it. This cozy piece is perfect for this time of year! The sleeves add a fun touch and the nude color is a great transition color, but the chunky knit will keep you warm in the last days of winter!

One of my favorite new shoe purchases has to be these white mules. They are just $23 and SO comfortable! These are the perfect shoes for my teacher friends, and I love that I can take them from work to the weekend! Plus, you can’t beat the price!

Laid Back Valentine

Valentine’s Day is next week! Are you keeping things low-key or having a fancy night out? E and I will probably celebrate somewhere in the middle…a low-key dinner date! For a laid-back night out, I like to keep things cute and simple. A sweater with fun detailing, a great pair of jeans and mules make for a perfect pulled together outfit that is still comfortable and easy to wear!

This sweater is SO flattering! I love the scalloped hem and raw edges, but the back is the real show stopper! The deep v adds a fun touch, but I love that it’s not low enough that your bra straps show! The best part about this cutie? It’s under $20! I am so excited to pair this one with cutoffs in the summer!

My favorite way to top off a simple outfit? A great piece of jewelry! I helped design this piece with taudrey and am obsessed! It’s one of my most worn pieces because I love that it’s dainty, but still makes a statement! Customize it to include your own sweet details, like an initial for you or your hunny or a stamped heart or swarovski crystal.

Monday…we meet again!

I hope you enjoyed your weekend! I am savoring every minute of my summer vacation as it is nearing the end. I head back to work in August, prepping my classroom for a new group of kiddos. As excited as I am to get to know my knew class,  I so wish summer could last a few more months! 

I’ve been all about the ruffles this summer. From fun ruffled tops to ruffle dresses, there is something so fun about a touch of ruffles! The moment I saw this top, I knew I had to own it! Ruffles and yellow?! Yes please! I can’t get enough of this flirty and feminine trend!
