Summer Date Ready

Midi Dress // Denim Jacket (size up for an oversized fit) // Sneakers // Crossbody Bag

This is the first year that my husband and I both have the summer off, and we are enjoying every minute of it. Dates are made that much better as we can leave on a whim and go from running errands to a patio dinner on the lake. I know it won’t always be like this, so I am savoring every minute of this special summer.

Because date nights (and day dates!!) have been happening frequently and on a whim, I have been looking for comfy cute dresses that are adaptable. This time of year, I also look for pieces that can transition into the next season and have been finding ALL the right options at Walmart!

The past few seasons, I have been perusing the Walmart site and finding the cutest options to update my wardrobe, whether it be for date night or the classroom. I love that I can find clothing I feel good in, is flattering, and doesn’t break the bank! Walmart’s newest campaign, We Dress America, aligns with those same sentiments, offering clothing this is on trend, unique, inclusive and affordable.

This midi dress came home with me the moment I saw it. This dress isn’t just comfy, it’s also super flattering and makes me feel like a million bucks with a very budget friendly price tag! This versatile piece can be dressed up or down, and has quickly become one of my go to’s! I love that I can pair it with sneakers and a denim jacket and am ready for whatever our day may hold! This dress can also be worn from season to season. Top it off with a sweater and some booties and you are ready for fall!

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring today’s post!

Summer Midi Dress

Nell + Rose ‘Florence’ Dress // Sandals // Crossbody Straw Bag // Sunnies, similar here

Confession…I have worn this dress 3 times in the last week! It is the ultimate summer midi dress and I can’t get enough of it! Coming from one of my favorite boutiques, Nell + Rose, this dress is meant for summer! From the breezy linen fabric to the neutral palette, it’s the perfect dress for all of your warm weather needs! I have worn this cutie to work (paired with a denim jacket), to church and out and about this past weekend. I love how versatile it is! Have a laid-back summer wedding coming up? Pair this cutie with some heeled sandals or wedges to dress it up. If you buy one thing this summer, let it be this dress…I am telling you, you won’t regret it!

Striped Midi

Knit Midi Dress // Similar Denim Jackets // Sunnies // Tory Burch Sandals // Rebecca Minkoff Bag // Christian Paul Watch //

When I saw this striped midi dress, it immediately went into my cart. I knew it would be the perfect piece to transition from summer to fall. As the weather has been warmer, I have loved wearing it by itself, or with a light jacket. It’s a comfortable dress with a flattering silhouette and looks great with a simple pair of sandals and a cross-body bag. When the weather gets cooler, I can definitely see throwing on a chunky sweater or cardigan, some great booties and a wool floppy hat. The stripes are rich colors that are perfect for fall and the midi length is great because it doesn’t expose too much skin to the crisp autumn air!

Ruffle Midi Dress

Dress: ASOS // Hat: Nordstrom // Shoes: Steve Madden // Bracelets: Taudrey //

Monday, we meet again!

I only have two more Monday’s left of the school year until summer break.

I am definitely ready for a few months off, and plan on relaxing and focusing on the blog!

When I got this sweet midi dress, it was love at first sight. From the color (which I’m loving lately) to the ruffle detailing, this is a dress I can’t wait to wear all summer long! The midi length makes this a wear anywhere piece and it’s so easy to dress up or down! I’ve actually already worn it to work with a lightweight sweater AND a denim jacket, but have loved that it makes for the perfect throw on and go dress for the weekends. Did I mention that it’s ridiculously comfortable too?!

This also might be the first post without a handbag! I actually used my white Rebecca Minkoff, but totally forgot to grab it out of the car when we were shooting and didn’t realize until I uploaded the pictures…oops!
