August is just around the corner and for me that means it’s time to start thinking back to school. With the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in full swing, it’s been the perfect time to stock up on some pieces for the classroom. The only problem is, I’m super impatient and want to wear all of my sale finds now! Anybody else struggle with waiting for it to cool off to wear your cool new back to school duds? This is something that hasn’t changed. I distinctly remember being in elementary school and pulling out my new denim and sweaters to wear on the first day despite the 80 to 90 degree temps. Impatient much? Please tell me I’m not the only one who did this!!

Luckily, while shopping the sale I’ve been able to snag pieces that I can wear now before transitioning into the classroom in the fall! This top in particular has been one of my favorite finds. I loved this one so much that I snagged it in a few colors! It’s light-weight enough to wear on a cooler summer evening, but pairs perfectly with denim and a cardi for the fall. This top is only $32 and one that has been overlooked during the Nsale as it’s still FULLY stocked in ALL sizes!

Wearing this cutie in a size small now with my favorite cutoffs and easy mules. Scroll down to see how I would wear it for a casual Friday at work! Looking for more summer to work Nsale outfits? Check out how I styled the cutest dress 3 ways here!

Hey friends! I hope you are having a wonderful week! This week has been sunshine filled with the temps reaching almost 80, and I am one happy girl! I’ve finally been able to swap out my winter layers for my favorite spring and summer pieces! The item I’ve been most excited to bust out?? My sandals!!

This time of year, I am always on the hunt for a good cute and comfy sandal that can take me from work to the weekend. I look for neutral colors that can go with everything and something that is comfortable enough to take me from a full day of teaching to dinner and drinks with the hubby. This year, I spent some time browsing the Zappos site and was so excited to see a WIDE variety to choose from! I love shopping at Zappos because they have a wide variety of brands I love, free expedited shipping, meaning my orders get to me speedy quick, and they have a great rewards program, so I earn reward codes for discounts! Who doesn’t love getting rewarded for shopping??

The sandals that ultimately made their way to my doorstep, are these comfy brown sandals by Sam Edelman (one of my go to brands for shoes!). I was drawn to the design, but fell in love with them the moment I tried them on. You guys…these sandals are SO COMFORTABLE! They have a cushiony fit that makes spending all day in them easy peasy and I love how cute they are! They come in 9 different color options and are under $100! A total steal for the quality of these cuties!!

If you are looking for a new pair of easy to wear sandals this season, you must check out Zappos! Happy shopping!

Striped Lace Up Top // Similar Denim Cutoffs Here //  Sandals (on sale!) // Bag (also comes in white) // Hat //

Sharing another 4th of July look today! This look is a little more low-key, but still festive! It’s hard to tell in these photos, but this top has the smallest red stripes, making it a fun red, white and blue option for the 4th! You could easily dress it up with white denim and a pair of wedges. This outfit would be ideal for a holiday BBQ and fun in the sun.

I can’t believe I haven’t gotten around to sharing this sweater. All winter long, this cutie has been one of my go to’s. It can be worn on or off the shoulder, making it the perfect day to evening top or spring transition piece. Now that the sun is making more frequent appearances and it’s warming up (supposedly), it’s the perfect lil weekend sweater. It’s lightweight, but made of the coziest fleece. I paired this with leggings for hanging around the house and was comfy all day.

This is actually a look I have worn to work, only with the sweater on the shoulder. There has never been a more perfect top for wearing to work and date night!
