The perfect summer sweater

Okay friends, I have to admit that I’ve been in a bit of a blog/instagram slump. School has been out for a little over a week, but I’ve still been a busy girl. I spent a couple of days moving classrooms (SO much work!) and have had trainings this week, meaning my summer break hasn’t really started yet and I haven’t had a lot of time to shoot! Next week I finally have nothing on the schedule and I am so excited to finally shoot some new summer content! I have SO many cute new pieces to share with you!! I also have some lifestyle posts planned that I am looking forward to bringing to the blog! Is there anything you would like to see on Twenties Girl Style?!

Every closet needs a great lightweight summer sweater. I’ve been on the hunt for a white sweater for ages and the moment I saw this one, I knew I had found the perfect summer sweater. It’s such a great weight for throwing on in those chilly summer evenings or bringing along to the movie theater (where it’s ALWAYS cold). I love the slouchy fit and how comfortable it is. I recently found it on sale for UNDER $30 which is a total steal! It comes in a few more colors and I am considering adding another to my closet!

Monday…we meet again.

Is it just me or does the weekend go by WAY too quickly?! I feel like I was just heading in to a new work week, and yet here we are again.

Saturday was BEAUTIFUL. Sunshine and just about 40 degrees, I swear I could feel that spring was just around the corner. Sunday was a totally different story. The temps dropped and it snowed ALL day. I don’t know how much more winter I can take!

For this inconsistent weather, I’ve been doing a lot of layering. It’s hard not to shop all of the cute new spring arrivals, but the weather hasn’t stopped me. I’ve picked up a few pieces that are great for transitioning.

This fuzzy cardigan is the perfect weight for those iffy days. I’ve been wearing it with everything from tanks to long sleeve shirts. It’s the perfect shade of grey that will go with anything and everything and I really adore the fuzzy detailing! It’s under $40 and comes in multiple colors (check out the gorgeous purple!).

Cheers to Monday, babes! Wishing you a great start to your week!

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a relaxing weekend and are ready to take on a new week!

I am sharing one of my FAVORITE recent purchases as of late. I’ve had this cutie fringe cardi on repeat since I got it. I love the mixed knit and the fun fringe hemline. I’ve been wearing this on the weekend with distressed denim, but wanted to share how I have worn it to work for a casual Friday.

A pair of dark wash denim is a must have, especially if denim is allowed at your job. Dark wash tend to be the easiest to dress up and are extremely versatile. These Mott & Bow skinny jeans are my new favorites. I haven’t had a pair of jeans fit THIS good in a long time! The great thing about Mott & Bow is you can order two sizes (for the price of 1!) if you are unsure of your sizing, try them on at home, and send back the ones that don’t work with the free pre-paid label. Yes, it’s that easy! I can’t rave enough about these jeans either. They are well made, comfortable and reasonably priced!

I paired my dark wash skinny jeans with a basic white tank and this fringe cardi for a cute but still chic laid back work look. These mules have been my go to lately (they are SO comfortable) and are perfect for work! Add a few pieces of dainty jewelry, and your good to go! PS this cardigan is on MAJOR sale right now, for just $16!!

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you had a great 3 day weekend! I always enjoy weekends, but this weekend was bitterly cold and I caught a cold, making me wish I had an extension to my weekend. 3 more days would be perfect, please! We went to shoot TWICE this weekend, but both times didn’t work out so well. I think the universe was trying to tell me to just take the weekend off.

This is an outfit I wore last weekend, and have already re-worn it twice. This oversized sweater is PERFECT for the under 20 degree weather we have been having. I can layer a long sleeve top under it (or maybe two) and stay perfectly cozy all day long. Oversized sweaters have been saving my life this winter. Guys, it is SO cold. I am so over it. Spring, please!!
