Anybody remember that feeling of finding your first day of school outfit? Back to school shopping was always my favorite time of year, and I got practically giddy as I laid out what I would be wearing that very first day back, even if it was a few weeks…or a month in advance. Being a teacher, I still get to have a “first day of school” outfit and I’m not going to lie, I LOVE it. When I tried on this Antique Garden shift dress, I had that same feeling I used to get when I was younger…this is the one! It may be a month and a half in advance, but I will definitely be wearing this sweet printed shift when the first bell of the year rings in September!
Please tell me I’m not the only one who picks/picked out first day of school outfits so far in advance!
By now I’m sure most of you have lurked the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I’ve spent a good chunk of time perusing the website, adding pieces to my bag and dreaming up my fall wardrobe. This is the best time of year to add new fall accessories to your wardrobe as you can’t beat the prices! I love picking out staple pieces I know I can mix and match throughout the season. Neutral pieces that will go with everything! These pieces are all marked down currently, but the only way to shop them now is with a Nordstrom card. The sale officially goes live on the 17th, so head over and start making your own wish list now, or sign up for a card here if you just can’t wait!
One of the things I love most about spring is being able to transition some of my favorite summer pieces in! One of my go to combos this time of year is my favorite maxi dresses paired with over sized sweaters. I love the sweet boho vibes and how comfortable it is!
When I received this dress from Cheeky Peach Boutique, I automatically put it on to wear out to dinner. It didn’t matter that it was raining, or freezing, I had to wear it. I’m sure we have all done that at some point or another in our lives! The easiest, most wearable way to style this fab dress for the weather, was to throw a chunky knit sweater over the top, and add a floppy hat and booties. I’m going on vacation soon though and am excited to wear this maxi all by itself! I can’t wait for you to see the gorgeous detailing on this dress (if you really can’t wait, you can check it out here…also check out this tassel dress that I am obsessing over)!
