My Winter Collection with Inspired Boutique

I am SO excited to share that my collection with Inspired Boutique is live! This has been a few months in the making! All 11 items were handpicked by me! I wanted cozy, comfortable pieces that you could feel good AND look good in this winter! From comfy graphic tees to oversize sweaters and cardigans, these are pieces you can wear all winter long and straight into spring! I included one dress that I feel is perfect for year round! Dress (Size: Small // Price: $ ): This dress is SO sweet! I was drawn to the flirty fit and the detailing. It’s even prettier in person! From the ruffle sleeves and hem to the sweet pom detailing, this dress makes a statement without being over the top! I love the neutral color too that looks good on any skin tone! This is a dress that you can definitely wear year round!

Cream Cozy Up Cardigan (Size: Small // Price: $55 ): This cardigan is an absolute DREAM! It is incredibly soft! It’s made of chenille, so it feels like you are wrapped up in a cozy blanket. This is a piece that can be dressed up or down. It’s super warm too, so perfect for chilly winter days!

Darling Tee (Size: Small // Price: $24): The sweetest little tee! I love the embroidery detailing and the slightly cropped fit. I am wearing a small, but suggest sizing up if you would like it to run a little more oversized! This is one of those tees that you will be wearing year round!

Everyday Striped Long Sleeve Tunic (Size: Small // Price: $34): This top reminds me of something from Free People. I absolutely adore the stripe color combo and the oversized sleeves. It’s soft and comfy and perfect for wearing out or lounging. It was the very first piece to sell out…check back for a restock!

Ivory Long Sleeve Button Up (Size: Small // Price: $34): You can’t go wrong with a button up henley top! I wear these year round and this one is a real winner. Although it is described as ivory, I would say it gives off some hints of blush. It’s super warm and I love the slightly cropped swing fit.

Blue Keyhole Blouse (Size: Small // Price: $48): This top is another favorite. I thought this top would be perfect for the classroom! I love the keyhole and pom pom detailing that adds such a fun touch. Wear it with black denim and loafers and jeans and booties.

On my List Oversized Sweater (Size: Small // Price: $48): This sweater is probably the most versatile in the collection. It can be worn on or off the shoulder and is long enough to wear with leggings. I love the chunky fit (it’s seriously so soft!) and the ribbing. I’ve worn this with leggings, tucked into jeans and with a full length sequin midi skirt (see here).

Winter Storm Plaid Cardigan (Size: S/M // Price: $48): I love a good plaid cardi and this one is too cute! I haven’t seen this color combo and think it’s perfect for winter. It’s a great layering piece and is one that can be dressed up or down. I can’t wait to wear this in the classroom!

Mocha Cropped Sweater (Size: S/M // Price: $48): This sweater is a closet classic. I feel like it can be styled a million different ways! It’s slightly cropped, but the perfect length for tucking in or wearing with skirts! I love the chunky knit and the oversized sleeves.

Color Me Striped Sweater (Size: S/M // Price: $54): This sweater is my favorite! I am obsessed with the color combo and bright stripes. It’s just what you need in the darkest days of winter to brighten things up! It’s super soft and I love the oversized sleeves. Size up if you want a more oversized look to wear with leggings!

Weekends. Coffee. & Dogs. Tee (Size: Small // Price: $26): If this tee doesn’t describe a perfect weekend, then I don’t know what does! I love the oversized fit of this tee and that it is long enough to wear with leggings! It is SO soft and the color goes with everything. This tee sold out pretty fast…stay tuned for a restock!

Sweaters for the Holidays with Nordstrom

The holidays are upon us and Christmas cheer is in the air! I rarely wear red unless it’s the last two months of the year. That’s when the color seems to take over my wardrobe! This time of year I am all about incorporating holiday cheer into my wardrobe, but in subtle ways and with pieces that I can wear all winter long. My go to is ALWAYS a great sweater and I found so many great options at Nordstrom this year!

Now that the temperatures have dropped, all I want to wear are sweaters! A good sweater has a magical quality. It can be dressed up or down, worn to work or lounging around the house and is versatile enough to be worn all fall and winter long. I have been LOVING the sweaters in the BP department at Nordstrom. Not only do they have a great selection of on trend pieces, but they also have tons of reasonably priced options.

Nordstrom is always my first stop when it’s time for a wardrobe refresh each season. They have a wide selection of items to choose from and I love finding the seasons best trends and classic closet staples all in one place! Not to mention, they have amazing customer service and their everyday free shipping makes ordering online a breeze.

As mentioned above, I love incorporating a little cheer into my outfits during the holidays. I don’t however want to spend a lot of money on pieces that I will only wear one month and then put away for the year. That’s why I love incorporating festive touches in subtle ways with pieces that I will mix and match all season long (I talked about this last year in this post!). Keep reading to find out my favorite ways to add a festive touch to my sweaters!

  1. A Plaid Scarf: I’ve been all about the sweater dresses lately and this ribbed option is so flattering! I love that it can be dressed up or down. It’s a great contender for a holiday party! I added a festive touch by pairing it with this amazingly cozy plaid scarf. Nothing screams holly jolly like a plaid scarf! This scarf is one that can be worn through the holidays and all winter long. It would make a great gift to those cold weather dwellers on your list!

2. Red: A red sweater is a MUST HAVE for the holidays! This option is so pretty and SO soft! The longer length makes it easy to wear with leggings or tucked into denim or a skirt. Valentine’s Day is also just a few months away, which gives you an excuse to wear this pop of red from December to February!

3. Plaid: I mentioned a plaid scarf above, but plaid in general is ALWAYS a good idea for the holidays! This plaid cardigan gives a subtle nod to the holidays without going over the top. It’s a piece that I am sure I will wear all winter long and straight into spring! The colors, tan and pink, are pretty and feminine.

NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE 2018: Review of What I Bought!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is open to the public today!! If you’ve been shopping the sale like I have, you know this year there are so many amazing deals! I am hoping to pick up a few more goodies today as they restock the sale for the public!

Today I am sharing some of the pieces I picked up during early access (and a few pieces I already owned and are part of the sale!). I am still waiting on a few packages to arrive, but hope to update this with pictures when I get them (hopefully a few arrive later today)! I have shared a little bit of insight on each piece, but only the first time it was shared! I have styled a few of these pieces multiple ways! Scroll all the way to the bottom for shoe reviews! BP Raw Edge V-Neck  Tee (NOW: $12 // AFTER SALE: $17 // SIZE: XS ): This is a piece that Nordstrom has carried for awhile and before the sale I already had a couple in my closet. I actually have 3 of these in white because of how much I wear it. I was so excited to see that it was part of the sale that I snagged it in a few colors. This color is fall perfection and I love it paired with the neutral cardi above! It does run a big big! I have a few of these tee’s in XS and Small and prefer the size down!

BP Hooded Cardigan (NOW: $46 // AFTER SALE: $69 // SIZE: XS ): This hooded cardigan is one of the biggest underrated pieces from the Nsale! It comes in two colors and is still fully stocked in both colors! This is probably my favorite cardi from the sale because I love the length and the weight of it. This is a little thicker than the other BP cardigans and will transition perfectly into fall. Hey, this is a cardigan I can see myself wearing all year long! This does run slightly large…I’m wearing an XS!

BLANKNYC The Great Jones Raw Hem Skinny (NOW: $59 // AFTER SALE: $88 // SIZE: 25): Stretchy, comfortable denim that runs true to size and can be worn in the classroom. Get the full review here.

BP Ribbed Button Top (NOW: $25 // AFTER SALE: $39 // SIZE: XS): This top is actually called a ribbed cardigan online. You can definitely un-button it and wear it as a cardi, but I prefer wearing it as a top! I snagged this top in two colors (see the grey below). This one has been super popular and gone in and out of stock so many times. You can get a super similar style here!

I bought mine (the one pictured) 3 years ago and continue to wear it all fall and winter long. This years version is almost identical but with some really cute quilted details. You also can’t beat the sale price!!

Ribbed Body-Con Midi Dress (NOW: $30 // AFTER SALE: $45 // SIZE: Small ): Another underrated sale find is this midi dress. A super comfortable and flattering midi that can be dressed up or down. This is definitely something I would wear in the classroom, paired with a cardi and booties (shown above) or with mules and a denim jacket!

Dreamers by Debut Nubby Cardigan (NOW: $35 // AFTER SALE: $55 // SIZE: Small ): This cardigan is such a steal! I will be wearing this cozy piece all fall and winter long! If you’ve been thinking about splurging on a Barefoot Dreams cardigan, this is a great dupe and alternative!!

BP Lace Trim Satin Cami (NOW: $22 // AFTER SALE:$35 // SIZE: XS ): Run, don’t walk to buy this cami! Trust me, you won’t regret it! This is such a pretty piece to wear alone or layer up with a cardi or moto jacket. This was a piece from the sale last year that was brought back this year! It comes in 4 colors, and I picked up the black and emerald green last year and snagged the white this year. I am wearing an XS!

Free People Cardigan (NOW: $99 // AFTER SALE: $148 // SIZE: XS/S ): I purchased this cardigan last fall and literally lived in it all fall, winter and spring! I was so excited to see it was part of the sale and in 3 colors, this grey, a black and wine color (which I purchased). This cardi is definitely a splurge piece but SO worth it! One of the top worn pieces in my closet from last year! It does run big…size down!

Shift Dress (NOW: $32 // AFTER SALE: $49 // SIZE: Small ): One of my favorite sale purchases for the classroom is this little shift dress! Teachers, this dress is so versatile and a must for back to school! It comes in two colors and can easily be layered up. See all the ways I styled it here!

BP Textured Stitch V-Neck Pullover (NOW: $26 // AFTER SALE: $39 // SIZE: XS ): This sweater is SO good! From the fit to how comfy, cozy it is, this will be a fall staple in my wardrobe! I can see myself pairing this with a skirt or pants for work or throwing it on with my coziest joggers when hanging around the house. I’ve even worn it this summer with denim cutoffs. This sweater comes in a bunch of colors and I’m hoping to snag it in a few more once the sale goes live!

For three years in a row, this cardi has stole the show.  It’s a steal of a deal at under $35, that you might as well pick up one, two or five colors! I bought it in two colors last year and wore them SO much! The length makes them perfect for layering with dresses, tights and boots in the winter time!

Socialite Thermal Henley Top (NOW: $25 // AFTER SALE: $38 // SIZE: ): A soft, comfy top you will want to wear on repeat. This c piece comes in a few colors and I wouldn’t mind owning them all! Currently waiting for a restock of the camo option! It has a flattering fit and is so soft! I sized up to a small for an oversized fit!

Adidas Originals Trefoil Tank (NOW: $24 // AFTER SALE: $32 // SIZE: XS): I own this tank in a few colors already and it’s one of my faves for working out or just wearing around! I love the oversized armholes for wearing with a sports bra and the fabric is super soft with just the right amount of stretch!

Zella Street Style High Waist Leggings (NOW: $50 // AFTER SALE: $75 // SIZE: XS): These are the coolest leggings I’ve ever owned! I think these will be perfect not just for the gym, but also on a fall weekend! This color is the grey bird, but definitely looks like a pretty light shade of lavender in some light! Debating getting the black for a more edgier legging to pair with sweaters and booties! These do run a bit big…I’m wearing an XS!

Topshop Colorblock Knit Pullover (NOW: $ // AFTER SALE: $ // SIZE: ): I love love LOVE this sweater! The color combo is absolute perfection. I can’t even imagine a more fun or perfect mix of colors! The one thing to note about this sweater is that it’s on the shorter size. I’m wearing a US 4 and it fits perfectly, but if I re-ordered, I might have sized up for a more oversized fit!

Caslon Striped Bell Sleeve Tee (NOW: $26 // AFTER SALE: $39 // SIZE: XS): If you follow me on instagram, you may have heard me rave about this tee multiple times. I snagged this last year during the sale and was so excited to see it make a return this year! This tee is a gem! I love the stripes and the bell sleeves and how easily this one can go from work to play! It comes in 3 colors and runs big…I’m wearing an XS!

AG Ripped Ankle Skinny Jeans (NOW: $150 // AFTER SALE: $225 // SIZE: 25): I bought my first pair of AG jeans last year during the anniversary sale. AG jeans are pretty pricey, so getting them on sale is a bonus! At first I was hesitant to splurge on denim, but after reading plenty of rave reviews I took the plunge and am SO happy I did. Obviously happy enough to be buying my second pair this year! These are a high quality pair of denim and I love the skinny fit! There is just the right amount of distressing and I love the raw hem!

Spanx Faux Leather Leggings (NOW: $65 // AFTER SALE: $98 // SIZE: XS): Everyone RAVES about these leggings and it’s no wonder why…these babies are MAGIC! I purchased these last fall and can’t tell you how often I wore them in the fall and winter. They are so easy to dress up or down. I love the leather look of these because while they look like leather, they don’t look like some of the cheesier faux leather leggings that almost look plastic. I have them in an XS and find them to run true to size…however, they are difficult to get on!

Thread & Supply Wubby Fleece Pullover (NOW: $52 // AFTER SALE: $78 // SIZE: Medium): You might remember this fuzzy pullover from last winter because I practically LIVED in it! It’s the coziest thing ever and perfect for chilly fall and winter days and is also a great travel companion for helping you beat chilly flights (or you can use it as a pillow!). I have this in two colors and actually sized up to a medium. This is oversized already, but I love the fit of the medium. It’s so cozy and long enough to cover my bum when I’m wearing leggings!

Shiraleah Scarf (NOW: $22 // AFTER SALE: $33 ) : This cozy scarf is a perfect dupe for one of my all time favorites that is a bit pricier. It comes in 3 colors and is SO warm. This is a must have if you experience frigid winters!

Steve Madden Trace Studded Mules (NOW: $50 // AFTER SALE: $80 ): I LOVE these mules! I know I’ve mentioned it multiple times, but mules are my go to shoe for the classroom. They are super comfortable and easy to wear and I love that I can take them from the classroom to date night or a weekend outing. I am going to try and snag these in another color during public access (currently eyeing the mustard or snakeskin!).

Kristin Cavallari Charlie Studded Loafer Mule (NOW: $85 // AFTER SALE: $130 ): One of my favorite pairs of mules is on sale and comes in 3 gorgeous colors! I got these this spring and love the unique detail of the studs! They also come in black leather and a gorgeous burgundy suede that is perfect for fall! These are the COMFIEST mules I own!!

Halogen Violet Genuine Calf Hair Mule (NOW: $65 // AFTER SALE: $100): I missed out on leopard mules last year and it was one of my biggest sale regrets. I can’t tell you how many times I got dressed and thought, “This would be so cute with leopard mules!”. This year, these were the very first thing that made it into my cart. They add a fun pop to any outfit and these are so comfortable!  These run true to size! I ordered my regular size 7 for a perfect fit!

Adidas Flashback Sneakers (NOW: $68 // AFTER SALE: $90): These sneakers are so cute and comfortable and SUCH A STEAL! I love the nude…they will go with everything, but they also come in black and you can’t go wrong with a black sneaker! Adidas often run big, but these run true to size. I wear a 7 and ordered a 7 and the fit is perfect!

Adidas Edge Lux Clima Running Shoe (NOW: $64 // AFTER SALE: $85): These are the perfect sneakers for the gym or running around town. They are so comfortable…I feel like I could wear them all day! They also didn’t require any breaking in which is always a bonus! Another sneaker I found to fit true to size. I ordered my regular size 7 and they fit perfectly! These also come in the CUTEST shade of pink!

BP Tonya Open Toe Mules (NOW: $50 // AFTER SALE: $80 ): These heeled mules were such a good find, especially for the $50 sale price! They come in four colors, are comfortable and the block heel makes them easy to walk in. I love the v at the front too! It elongates the leg and is super flattering on! If you get a chance, you should snag these!!

Steve Madden ‘Petra’ Open Side Booties (NOW: $80 // AFTER SALE: $120 ): I got a similar pair of booties last year and literally wore them out. I think I like this year’s pair even more! These come in 3 colors and are on sale for a steal at $80! These come in 3 colors, but I love the taupe because it will go with everything (see above…I paired them with almost every outfit!). BP Brice Notched Booties (NOW: $80 // AFTER SALE: $120 ): So I actually ordered these booties in two colors (the cognac, pictured above, and grey). I ended up returning the grey and keeping the cognac because it’s such a perfect fall color. I am not sure if I will be keeping this pair either. I love the fit and despite the reviews, found them to run true to size, but I am not a fan of the ankle flap! It’s a bit flimsy and folds in occasionally which bothers me. I’m not sure if this is something that will work it’s way out or not, but this has me re-thinking my purchase. However, despite this flaw, this bootie is just about perfect for fall and if you love them, I would give them a try. This may be a non-issue for you!
