Summer is in full swing and I don’t know about you, but I have been living in my swimsuits lately! There is nothing I love more than a cute suit and I love trying all of the hot swim trends! Today I am rounding up my favorite 10 swimsuit trends of the summer! You may notice that many of these trends overlap, and I know it may be a little late in the summer to share, but this is the best time to snag new suits because many are on sale!

1. POLKA DOTS

Polka dots are such a fun and whimsy print! I am still looking for my “itsy bitsy teensy weensy yellow polka dot bikini” (or maybe just a cute yellow suit would do!), but for now, this fun red and pink option will do! It also comes in a one piece! Shop it below!

2. RUFFLES

A cute suit is always better with a touch of ruffles! I picked this one up for my trip to Mexico this spring and it continues to be one of my favorites because of those fun ruffles! This suit comes from one of my favorite swimmie brands, Solid & Striped!

3. SCOOPBACK

Plunging scoopback one pieces are everywhere lately! It’s a great way to show off a little skin without showing off too much! I also love that I can pair it with shorts and it looks like a fab bodysuit!

4. PALM PRINT

A cute palm print suit will always be my fave! This one is AMAZING! Only $14, but amazing quality, with adjustable straps and padding!

5. TIE TOP

This is such a cute trend! I’ve been knotting all the hems of my tops, so why shouldn’t my kini tops be knotted too! From one pieces to two piece swimmies, this is one of my favorite newest trends! PS a cute kimono is the PERFECT cover up! Check out some gorgeous options here.

6. ONE SHOULDER

A one shoulder suit is so flattering! I especially love the one shoulder one pieces with the cutout middle (like pictured above). It’s a great way to try out a one piece as it gives the illusion of a two piece!

7. SMOCKING

I purchased a few smocked tops this year! I love that a smocked top doesn’t need padding because the smocking hides everything! This suit is by L*Space, but check out some other smocked cuties I am loving!

8.OFF THE SHOULDER

My favorite trend of the year, you might have noticed that many of these suits shared are off the shoulder! This trend has been around for a few years, but has seemed more popular than ever! I’ve gotten questions on alot of my off the shoulder tops on how to avoid weird tan lines. I always take the shoulder straps off and tuck them into the top and voile! A strapless suit to avoid weird tan lines!

9. HIGH WAISTED

This “trend” has been around for a few years now and I would say it’s here to stay! One of the most flattering fits, this is a great option if you feel uncomfortable in a two piece suit! Most of the suits I take on vacation with me are high waisted. This way I can eat allll the tacos on the beach I want, without feeling like I’m walking around showing off my taco baby afterwards!

1o. STRIPES

Stripes, stripes and more stripes…give me all the striped swimmies! I feel like the options of striped swimmies are endless this year! So many cute stripes! The ones I am loving the most? Bright rainbow stripes!

Last but not least, you can’t forget a cute pool float!

One thing I love about summer? SWIMSUITS! There is nothing I love more than a cute little kini! I also find that I am a little more adventurous when it comes to picking out my suits. I love bold patterns and fun details (gimmie alllll the ruffles!). There are so many cute swimsuit trends out there right now that I’m sharing 7 of my favorites!!

Like I said above, I am all about the ruffles lately, and what better way to wear them than on your kini?! I love a sweet ruffle strap or flouncy off the shoulder ruffle bikini top. It’s easy to pair a cute ruffle top with a pair of denim shorts when heading to the lake or beach! I’ve even seem some pretty cute ruffle-y one pieces that double as the cutest bodysuit! A lot of the suits I’m sharing below have a little ruffle incorporated!

This trend has been around for a few years and I hope it is hear to stay! A high-waisted swimsuit is a great way to add a little more coverage but gives you a confidence boosting silhouette. I definitely loved having that higher waist on the beach in Mexico when I indulged in quesadillas and tacos!!

A lace up one pieces has quickly become the must have suit of summer. Lace up tops have been all the rage for the past few months, so it’s no wonder it would take over the swimsuit scene too!! I love pairing a lace up one piece with shorts. It doubles as a body suit and is the perfect outfit for a day spent on the water or at the beach.

I am all for a fun printed suit! From fruits to bright prints and patterns, a printed suit is a great way to add a little whimsy into your summer wardrobe! I’m currently obsessing over this fun banana print suit and am thinking about throwing in this float for good measure. Summer fun at it’s finest!

It’s all about showing off a little shoulder with these suits! There are so many cute off the shoulder and one shoulder options out there! I especially love an off the shoulder top when I’m working on my tan! One shoulder has recently made a pretty big comeback and I love a one piece with this fun detail!

A suit with cutouts can add a flirty little touch to a suit! Cutouts on a solid bikini add a unique detail keeping the suit from being too simple. I personally love a one piece suit with cutouts, whether front and center or on the sides! This one is my favorite for the sweet bow tie detail above the cutout!

Whether it’s just a crocheted trim or the whole suit is crochet, this is one of my favorite trends! There are some GORGEOUS crochet suits out right now (like this one) that take this trend to a whole new level of beachwear!
