Winter Layers that Don’t Break the Bank

Cardigan (comes in 4 colors – currently on sale for under $40!) // Striped Tee // Denim // Over the Knee Boots, more over the knee options here // Scarf // Rebecca Minkoff Bag

There is no other way to beat the 30 degree temperature than layers, layers, layers! Even though winter isn’t officially here (it doesn’t arrive until December 21st), the chilly winter weather has arrived in full force. I’m living the layered life, piling on all the layers I can get my hands on! Winter layers (chunky knits and soft scarves) can get expensive! Today I’m sharing a few bargain buys that are a must for the chilly months ahead!

This cardigan has been a life saver! This chunky knit cardi adds a layer of cozy goodness to my basic tee and denim. It’s SO warm! I’m all for cardigans that are so thick they can double as a coat. It’s the perfect way to stay warm but still look cute when it’s FREEZING outside! This cutie just happens to be on flash sale today for under $50! It comes in 4 colors and would also make the perfect gift!

This scarf has been one of my go to’s lately! It’s ridiculously soft and I love the size. The color also goes with everything! The best part? It’s under $20! This cozy option is just a fraction of the cost of a much pricier option, but the quality isn’t lost! Buy one for yourself and one for your BFF. This makes a great gift item too!

Last but not least, my FAVORITE over the knee boots. I talk about these so often, but the price is just too good for the quality! Read all about why I love them here! Not only are OTK boots a super cute way to spice up your outfit, but they also add an unexpected layer of warmth! I love wearing mine in the winter!

Monday…we meet again.

Is it just me or does the weekend go by WAY too quickly?! I feel like I was just heading in to a new work week, and yet here we are again.

Saturday was BEAUTIFUL. Sunshine and just about 40 degrees, I swear I could feel that spring was just around the corner. Sunday was a totally different story. The temps dropped and it snowed ALL day. I don’t know how much more winter I can take!

For this inconsistent weather, I’ve been doing a lot of layering. It’s hard not to shop all of the cute new spring arrivals, but the weather hasn’t stopped me. I’ve picked up a few pieces that are great for transitioning.

This fuzzy cardigan is the perfect weight for those iffy days. I’ve been wearing it with everything from tanks to long sleeve shirts. It’s the perfect shade of grey that will go with anything and everything and I really adore the fuzzy detailing! It’s under $40 and comes in multiple colors (check out the gorgeous purple!).

Cheers to Monday, babes! Wishing you a great start to your week!

Is there anything better than ruffles? I have been so ruffle obsessed lately! It’s such a fun and feminine trend and is the easiest way to add a little something extra to a basic pair of jeans.

The moment I saw this cutie, I envisioned wearing it multiple ways and transitioning it from winter to spring. The ruffle sleeves are so fun and flirty and I know it will be perfect paired with a skirt once the weather warms up! The best part has to be the price tag. At under $30, this trendy top is one that doesn’t break the bank!

Cognac Over the Knee Boots

Fringe Hem Sweater // Cognac Over the Knee Boots (Under $100) // White Skinny Jeans // Rebecca Minkoff Bag // Illesteva Sunnies // Bauble Bar Necklaces

If you follow me on instagram (@twentiesgirlstyle), you have seen this sweet fringe hem sweater a few times. This has definitely been one of my favorite pieces this month and I just can’t stop wearing it! I love a good grey sweater, but this one takes the cake with a great fit, fun fringe detailing and a under $30 price tag.

It’s still fully winter here (we got so much new snow last week), but I am ready for spring! An easy way to beat those winter blues is by pulling out your fave white skinny jeans. Don’t get me wrong, I wear these all year long, but this time of year I love that they make any outfit look fresh and spring ready.

These cognac over the knee boots are another one of my latest obsessions. At under $100 they are the perfect dupe for a much pricier pair and  are AMAZING quality. Cognac boots are a closet staple because they go with everything. I can’t wait to wear these with a mini dress or denim skirt when the weather warms up a bit!
