One of the easiest pieces you could ever own in your closet is a great cardigan sweater. A cardigan sweater can be layered over anything and automatically change a basic tee and jeans into a cozy winter look! My favorite type? Something oversized that I can practically live in during the chilly winter months. 

This cable knit olive version from The Pink Lily Boutique definitely fits the bill! I love perfect oversized fit, the cable knit detailing and the pockets! It’s one of those cardigans that you can wear out, or just wear around the house while watching netflix and eating popcorn!

Over the knee boots and white skinny jeans are one of my favorite winter combos! I’ve been wearing this sweater non-stop because it is ridiculously cozy and the length is perfect. It was a no-brainer to pair it with my favorite skinnys and boots! I accessorized with a scarf and a hat for an easy weekend look. This is definitely an outfit I will be repeating all winter long!

Guys…it’s snowing.

I enjoy snow best when I am snuggled up with a blanket, sipping hot chocolate and watching a Christmas movie.

Although I have to tell you, when my first grade kiddos discovered it was snowing yesterday, it kind of melted my heart. We were lining up for lunch, and one student happened to glance out the window. “IT’S SNOWING,” she screamed and I watched 21 first graders flock to the windows. They seemed to lose their minds for about 30 seconds as a few ran around screaming while others jumped up and down. I had to smile. Oh the joys of snow when you are 7 years old. “Okay…okay,” I laughed as I tried to get them to calm down. Finally I told them we would celebrate by doing a snow dance. “Dance like a snowflake! But snowflakes don’t talk, so shhhhh!” They took this very seriously and it was SO cute. Do you remember the joy you felt when you were little on the first snow fall of the season?

If you are looking for a dress to suit all of your holiday needs, I’ve found the perfect option for you! This sweet knit sweater dress is so flattering and perfect for any occasion. I love the neutral grey and black tones, but it also comes in the cutest burgundy and teal combo! I layered it up with a cozy scarf, hat and over the knee boots, but can already imagine pairing it with heels or booties and a sparkly necklace for a more dressed up look! It would also be perfect for a casual weekend paired with tights and a cardigan. Is there anything better than a multipurpose dress??
