If you’ve been following me on instagram (@twentiesgirlstyle) you know I am currently stripe obsessed. Stripes, like leopard, are such a neutral pattern that can be paired with just about anything. A good stripe can really pull an outfit together, especially when mixed with another print! I didn’t mix todays stripes, but opted for a chunky knit scarf. This stripe top from Love on a Hanger is extremely versatile! It’s actually long, with slits up either side, but pairing it with a high waisted bottom really changes the look! I am loving all of the tops at Love on a Hanger lately! They have some unique, on trend pieces that don’t break the bank!

Little Blue Dress + Dealing with Grief

 So I’m posting this little blue dress today, and I could tell you about how much I adore it and how well it fits, like I had planned, but I just erased all of that because I have to share what’s really on my mind.

This weekend, my family’s sweet dog, Bentley, was hit by a car and he did not make it. My family has been absolutely devastated by the loss of him. Isn’t it crazy how a little animal can make such an impact on your life? I know it may seem silly, but he truly was a family member. He had the best personality and I am going to miss him so much. I feel broken hearted over knowing I won’t see his sweet underbite or big brown eyes again and am repeatedly going over “what if” scenarios in my mind. I know that I am just grieving and that eventually I won’t feel this terrible sadness, but it’s so hard!! All dog’s go to Heaven, right?

The Home T

 I have wanted a Home T FOREVER (hence the excitement in the picture below…). What better way to show a little state pride?? Not only is this the cutest tee, but it is so comfy! I’ve already decided I am ordering this one asap. It’s a Disney-fantatic’s must have!! I also love that the Home T donates some of the proceeds to non-profit organizations. You definitely need a Home T in your life!

I’ve been a little MIA lately as I have meetings all this week and am also spending lots of time in the classroom getting it all ready for my new first graders! As sad as I am to see summer go, I’m getting really excited to get this year started!

 Confession. I have worn this Sweetest Stitch dress too many times since receiving it. When I don’t know what to wear, I automatically pick this dress out of my closet. I’m not sure if it’s the print, or the open back and tassel tie or the absolutely perfect flowy fit, but it seems to fit the bill for just about any and every occasion. This was how I styled it for date night with E…wedges, and simple jewelry. I styled it for running errands a few days later by pairing it with a lacey bralett and my favorite gladiator sandals. This will definitely be going with me and E and I’s mini-moon in August!
