For part 3 of my How to Wear Overalls Series (part 1 || part 2), I’m sharing a dressier option that’s not TOO dressy! I wore a similar look last week that featured a sequined jacket. Without the jacket, this look is still chic and perfect for a laid back night out.
This top was one of my favorite fall purchases that I still wear frequently. It’s such a great top to dress up or down and it goes with EVERYTHING. I recently got this version which will be perfect for warmer temps this spring and summer and would work just as well paired with overalls!
Recreate this look with any blouse, heeled sandals and fun clutch!
PS pardon the weird marks on my feet…I had lace up wedges on before these…does this ever happen to anyone else?! Haha
Sequins aren’t just for New Years Eve! A little touch of sparkle can take a look from a casual Saturday outing to drinks with friends on Saturday night. This little sequin jacket dresses up my favorite overalls, creating a look that’s perfect for going out, while the overalls tone down the sequins just enough so it’s not too over the top or dressed up…a perfect balance.

As you know I am all about breaking fashion “rules” so I loved that she posted something about wearing white “too early”. This outfit is simple and guaranteed that most of us have similar pieces in our closet so take notes and break out your white jeans!
I have been obsessed with overalls for a few years now. I got these a couple years ago for my birthday and they have become a staple in my wardrobe. I often have people tell me they struggle with styling them, but I truly think they are one of the easiest pieces to style…just think of them as a unique pair of jeans!
Starting today, every Thursday this March, I will be sharing a different way I style overalls.
Today’s look is a casual way I would style them for running errands or for a Friday at work! Pairing them with a nicer tee and a sweater is an easy way that is laid-back but not too casual. I dress it up a bit more by cuffing the legs and adding a pair of heeled booties. Swapping out the shoes for a pair of sneakers would give this outfit a totally different vibe!
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a fantastic President’s Day! I had a 4 day weekend and it was the perfect mid-winter break to get a little R&R, especially after coming down with a virus last week. I’m feeling better now and ready to get back to work!
One not so basic must have in my closet? Overalls! E got these for me last year for my birthday and they are one of my all time favorite pieces! They are the perfect way to incorporate denim into your outfit without wearing the standard pair of jeans or a chambray top. Pairing them with a chunky sweater and a beanie is one of my go to’s during the chilly winter months.
Looking for your own pair of overalls?? I highly recommend this Free People option as they come in a wide variety of washes (I am wearing the Brady Wash) and have a super flattering fit!
