Fall Favorites

Happy Thursday!

Or should I say, happy ALMOST Friday??

It’s finally starting to really feel like fall around here and I’ve been pulling out some of my fall pieces to incorporate into my daily outfits. In honor of chillier weather, I am sharing some of my past fall favorite outfits. Most of these pieces are no longer available, but shop similar and identical pieces to get the look!

 Herringbone and Plaid

I have already re-created this outfit this fall! Piko/tunic dresses are currently all the rage and I am loving them for how easy they are to style! By mixing my favorite herringbone vest and a plaid scarf, It created a cozier look. I finished it off with boots and knee socks.

 Plaid Scarf

This is the same look from above, but I am so excited to still be obsessing over plaid scarves this fall! This is an accessory you will be seeing frequently this fall and winter!

Plaid Scarves I am Loving

This is one of the coziest looks out there! I am so excited that ponchos and capes are continuing to be a cozy staple this fall. An easy way to look cute white staying warm, layer with long sleeve turtleneck to keep yourself extra toasty!

I wear my overalls all year long. In the summer I pair them with converse and a tee, but I love layering them up for fall with booties and chunky sweaters!

This week’s blogger of the week is Sheree of Posh Classy Mom. I have featured Sheree before as I am in love with her fresh style! These olive pants and grid top create a perfect combo, but I absolutely love that she topped it off with a pair of Valentino Rockstuds. Gorgeous!

If you haven’t noticed, overalls are my latest and greatest obsession. It definitely takes me back to the days of elementary school when I wore my beloved Limited Too flare cargo overalls at least once a week! I’m not going to lie, I LOVE that overalls are back and I hope they are here to stay. There is something so fresh and laid back about a good pair of overalls, or in this case shortalls, that just makes any outfit give off cool, boho vibes. I’m totally digging it.

Since receiving these awesome shortalls from American Eagle, I have worn them at least 10 different ways. I absolutely love how versatile they are and can’t wait to wear them this summer with a crop top or swim suit underneath! They have the perfect amount of slouch and I’m a huge fan of the distressed look of the wash and hem! One of my favorite ways I have discovered to wear these is paired with a feminine flowy blouse and heeled booties. I love the effortless look of the overalls, but adding this sheer, off the shoulder top gives it a little girly feel thats perfect for date night or a much anticipated music festival! I’m telling you, every girl needs a pair of shortalls/overalls in her closet! It’s a new wardrobe staple!

Check out how Marsa from The DayLee Journal styled her shortalls!!!

Guys! It’s been sunny and warm, and although I don’t want to jinx it, I think winter weather might officially be behind us! Yay! In celebration of sunshine and 55 degrees, I’ve been rocking lots of pastels, cute sunnies and pink lips. I wanted to add a touch of girly to my overalls, and a little pastel pop was perfect. I am obsessing over this Accessory Concierge necklace (by far my new favorite accessory boutique!) It’s the perfect girly glam piece!

Another piece of obsessing over? This adorable bow bracelet from BumbleDot shop! I’ve been wanting a cute bow bracelet forever. I really think it’s the absolute perfect way to tie in a bit of girly to any outfit. These pictures don’t even do this adorable bow bracelet justice as it is 10 times cuter in person! At only $13, you should definitely pick up one…or two:) Expect to see a few more of these cuties on the blog soon!

This weekend the boyfriend and I went on a little adventure to the coast with some college friends. It was over a 5 hour drive down, and horrifically enough we just happened to get stuck in traffic. Being from a small town, the most traffic we ever see is having to wait at a light through 2 greens, so moving at barely a crawl for over an hour was tough. Ernie, being impatient as he is, even mentioned he was ready to give up and desert the car and start walking. I definitely had a case of the antsy pants. I don’t know how all of you from big cities do it!!!! Anyways, we arrived to the ocean and had a perfect, relaxing time. The ocean was beautiful, despite the weather being slightly colder than I had planned on.

Through this entire adventure, I only walked away with 2 iPhone pictures…one being a blurry ocean picture, and the other a far off instagram shot where you can’t even see faces. Blah! I am horrible at capturing moments on film! It’s not that I don’t want pictures, I just get distracted and forget! Weird considering my life sort of revolves around taking pictures…hmmm. Any tips or tricks for solving this issue?!
