Fall Kimonos

Today’s post is in collaboration with Nordstrom. All opinions are my own!

Look 1Velvet Fringe Kimono // Distressed Denim // Lace Up Tank // Slide Sandals // Kendra Scott Necklace // Bag

Look 2Long Floral Kimono // Peplum Tank // Distressed Denim // Booties // Similar Bag Here and Here // Kendra Scott Necklace

It’s no secret that I am obsessed with kimonos! From spring to summer I throw them on over my favorite tanks and shorts or wear them as a swim cover up. They are easy to wear and spice up any jeans and tee combo. While perusing the Nordstrom website, I noticed SO many kimono options for fall! From velvet and fringe to rich fall hues, Nordstrom has you covered for taking this trend into the new season!

Two kimono trends I’m loving for fall? Velvet and duster lengths! While I love bright floral options for spring and summer, a kimono in darker shades with burnout velvet is an easy way to transition your favorite white tank and jeans into the fall. I am obsessed with the floral print on this option. The color combo is gorgeous!

A duster length kimono is the perfect way to make a statement! Take your basics up a notch by pairing them with longer length kimono. It’s a great way to layer as a gets cooler and I don’t know about you, but I always feel pretty fab with a long kimono trailing after me as I walk!

3 Tops to Update Your Wardrobe for Fall

Look 2 –  Lace Up Tee // Jeans // Laser Cut Cross Body Bag // Slide Sandals

Look 3Ruffle Bell Sleeve Top // Jeans // Metal Ring Bag // Mules

New fall arrivals have been hitting online stores, giving me the itch to shop, but while fall is just around the corner, it’s still over 100 degrees here! This makes wearing those new fall goodies just about impossible, unless you are up for sweating in your new sweater and boot combos! When browsing the new arrivals section at Nordstrom, I’ve been looking for pieces that I can wear now and transition easily into fall. Nordstrom has by far the best selection of trendy yet affordable items, and they get new arrivals DAILY. I recently picked up three tops and I don’t have to wait for the weather to change to wear them! They are the perfect pieces to wear now and in the fall and all three are under $50!

Lace Cami – This gorgeous lace cami is under $30 and comes in 4 colors. It’s the perfect little tank to wear to date night on a hot summer night, but will be easy to transition to colder weather by pairing it with a cardi. My favorite way to wear a lacy cami in the fall and winter is paired with a pullover sweater so just a little lace peeks out!

Lace Up Tee – The lace up trend was huge last year and it looks like it’s here to stay! This tee give off “cool girl” vibes with it’s deep v lace up and grommet detailing. It’s only $32 and comes in 6 great colors. Wear it now with shorts and layer it up in the fall. The lace up detailing gives a little something extra to your cardi and tee combo!

Ruffle Bell Sleeve Top – Ruffles and bell sleeves? Yes please! This top has perfect flirty sleeves and a fun lace up detailing in the back. It’s lightweight enough that you can wear it now, but pair it with jeans, boots and a draped vest (like this one) in the fall!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been in full swing for almost a week and I have spent a good chunk of time scouring the site for the best deals on new fall arrivals. In the fall, my wardrobe revolves around 5 staple pieces…riding boots, sweaters, plaid scarves, jackets and denim, so during the sale, I have been stocking up on these essentials to refresh my fall wardrobe. Below, I have rounded up some of my FAVORITE pieces from each category, making it easy for you to shop! Remember, the sale opens to the public on Friday at 12am so you can shop til you drop if you’ve been waiting! Who doesn’t love a good pair of riding boots? For the past few years, I’ve invested in a great pair each year that will take me through the fall and winter. My riding boots must be durable to withstand lots of wear and be comfortable because I wear them to work so frequently when it is cold out! Riding boots are one thing I will always splurge on because of how much I wear them. Last year I bought these and it was the best decision ever. I wore them SO much last year and they are still in amazing condition! I don’t really need a new pair this year, but these are currently sitting in my cart. Seriously, how perfect are they?!

From pullovers to cardigans, you can find me wearing a sweater most fall days. A sweater is often all I need in early fall, but I love that I can easily pile layers on under it as the seasons change and it gets even colder! There are so many sale options this year, especially ones with fun details like ruffles and bell sleeves! This is one of my favorite picks this year because it is unbelievably soft. I also picked up this one and it is great to wear now on those chillier summer evenings!

There is no better way to stay nice and toasty in the fall than by pairing a scarf with your favorite tee and sweater! A scarf is also a great way to add a fun print or pop of color to your outfit. I live in comfy neutral pieces and a plaid scarf is just the thing I need to add a little interest to my look! I ordered this buffalo plaid option this year and it is so soft! You can’t beat the $16 price tag either! And this might not be plaid…but this leopard scarf is SO cute!!

I’m not a fan of cold weather (despise is actually a better word to describe my feelings for the cold), as I get cold SO easily! In the fall and winter I feel like I have to pile on a million layers just to leave the house. Layering up is much easier and more fun when you have cute jackets to layer up with! It definitely makes the cold weather more manageable and even a little enjoyable (I’m not going to lie…super excited to pull out a few of my jacket purchases this fall!). I bought this suede jacket last year, but the color options this year are to die for! I think I might cave and get another!! I also love this cargo jacket…one of my fall staples for sure!

I know what you’re thinking…denim?! Denim is a year round staple in any girl’s wardrobe! BUT, this time of year I always start looking for a few great pairs to add to my wardrobe that I will wear all year long! The Anniversary Sale is a great time to stock up and save, and even get some of your fave designer denim at a discounted price! I love my distressed denim and those are honestly the pairs I am usually drawn to first, but a great pair of dark wash non-distressed jeans are a must as I can wear them to work! I splurged on this pair this year and love that I can wear them to work, but they still have a little distressing in the raw hem! These are my favorite pair purchased from the sale because the fit is AMAZING and they are under $60!
