Fall Style: October’s Top Ten

I’ve seen a few bloggers round up their most popular items for the month and have been meaning to put mine up for some time now! These are the top sellers from Twenties Girl Style for the month of October! I plan on going into detail about what this means in an upcoming post, but for now, check out what everyones been loving!

#10. Tunic Dress

This dress is a steal! It’s under $50, perfect for fall layering and now comes in 9 colors! I own it in two colors and have started pairing it with leggings, riding boots and a cardigan for work! See how I took it from work to the weekend here.

#9 . Mules

I’ve raved about these mules SO many times! I own them in 2 colors and can’t tell you how comfortable they are! I wear them to work frequently and have no issues with sore feet after spending all day on them! Not only are they comfortable, but I own them in neutral colors so they go with everything!

8. Distressed Skinny Jeans

I LIVE in these distressed jeans! They are the most comfortable and I love the fit! They come in multiple washes and I wouldn’t mind adding all of them to my wardrobe!

 7. Striped Scarf

The colors in this scarf are fall perfection! It’s the perfect blanket scarf for the season and the best part? It’s only $26! Check out a few more ways I styled it here.

6. Over the Knee Boots

Hands down the BEST over the knee boots (find out all about why I rave about them here). They come in 3 colors and the price can’t be beat for the quality!

5. Fringe Scarf

My favorite scarf from last year is back and in more colors! This scarf is a little pricey, but so worth it! It’s so soft and high quality and I love that this neutral shade goes with everything! This would make a great gift this holiday season!

4. Tie Bell Sleeve Sweater

I own this cutie in two colors and love the ties on the bell sleeves! It’s a versatile piece that is easy to layer. See another way I styled it here.

3. Slouchy Tunic

This sweater is amazing! It’s super comfortable and warm and I love the tunic length! I’m wearing an XS for that tunic look, but recommend sizing up if you want to wear this as a dress! It comes in a few color options and I’m obsessing over the pretty purple option!

2. Block Heel Suede Booties

It’s no surprise these booties were one of the top sellers in October! They are super comfortable and easy to style AND under $100! They come in a few different options and are the perfect fall booties!

1.  Side Slit Tee

The number 1 spot goes to the ultimate tee! I own this $19 tee in multiple colors and wear it SO frequently (see a few different ways in this post). This is a closet must!!

Fall Essentials – My Must Have Neutrals

Today’s post is in collaboration with Nordstrom. All opinions are my own!

 T-shirt // Cardigan // Distressed Denim // Mules // Bag

Happy Thursday friends! Yesterday was my first day back in the classroom! As much as I loved it, I forget how totally exhausted I am after being back with the kiddos! I have the greatest group this year and know it’s going to be a great school year!

The start of school definitely means fall is ALMOST here! While it’s still warm, there is a crispness in the air, the leaves are slowly starting to turn and it’s almost sweater weather! I’ve been stocking up on new fall pieces that I can wear now and transition into cooler weather! Free People is one of my go to brands for new seasonal pieces as they have the best neutrals that often come in a variety of colors. One of the reasons I LOVE shopping at Nordstrom is their wide variety of brands, like Free People, making them my one stop shop for all things fall! When shopping for fall, I am all about the basics, looking for neutral pieces that can be styled many different ways and layered up!

Chunky Knit Sweaters: I LIVE in cozy sweaters from September to March. I love chunkier knits because I can layer them easily and they are the perfect alternative to a jacket when the weather cools down. This cozy cardi has been my favorite lately! Despite the knit, it’s heavier than expected and will be my go to all fall and winter long!

Comfy T-shirts: I’m all about comfort, and in the fall and winter a t-shirt is often my base layer, so it obviously needs to be comfy! This one comes in 5 colors and I want them all!! Not only is it ridiculously soft, but I adore the key-hole cutout which adds a cool touch that will be perfect peaking from under a sweater or cardi!

Distressed Denim: A great pair of distressed jeans is one of my year round must haves! I absolutely LIVE in this pair, and the best part? They come in multiple washes (see the widget below!) and are under $100! Pair your favorite distressed denim with sandals or mules now and booties and OTK boots when the season changes!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – 5 Fall Staples

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been in full swing for almost a week and I have spent a good chunk of time scouring the site for the best deals on new fall arrivals. In the fall, my wardrobe revolves around 5 staple pieces…riding boots, sweaters, plaid scarves, jackets and denim, so during the sale, I have been stocking up on these essentials to refresh my fall wardrobe. Below, I have rounded up some of my FAVORITE pieces from each category, making it easy for you to shop! Remember, the sale opens to the public on Friday at 12am so you can shop til you drop if you’ve been waiting! A lot of restocks will be happening at this time too, so keep checking back if you missed something you love so you are sure to snag it!

Who doesn’t love a good pair of riding boots? For the past few years, I’ve invested in a great pair each year that will take me through the fall and winter. My riding boots must be durable to withstand lots of wear and be comfortable because I wear them to work so frequently when it is cold out! Riding boots are one thing I will always splurge on because of how much I wear them. Last year I bought these and it was the best decision ever. I wore them SO much last year and they are still in amazing condition! I don’t really need a new pair this year, but these are currently sitting in my cart. Seriously, how perfect are they?!

My Nsale Riding Boot Picks

From pullovers to cardigans, you can find me wearing a sweater most fall days. A sweater is often all I need in early fall, but I love that I can easily pile layers on under it as the seasons change and it gets even colder! There are so many sale options this year, especially ones with fun details like ruffles and bell sleeves! This is one of my favorite picks this year because it is unbelievably soft. I also picked up this one and it is great to wear now on those chillier summer evenings!

My Nsale Sweater Picks

There is no better way to stay nice and toasty in the fall than by pairing a scarf with your favorite tee and sweater! A scarf is also a great way to add a fun print or pop of color to your outfit. I live in comfy neutral pieces and a plaid scarf is just the thing I need to add a little interest to my look! I ordered this buffalo plaid option this year and it is so soft! You can’t beat the $16 price tag either! And this might not be plaid…but this leopard scarf is SO cute!!

My Nsale Scarf Picks

I’m not a fan of cold weather (despise is actually a better word to describe my feelings for the cold), as I get cold SO easily! In the fall and winter I feel like I have to pile on a million layers just to leave the house. Layering up is much easier and more fun when you have cute jackets to layer up with! It definitely makes the cold weather more manageable and even a little enjoyable (I’m not going to lie…super excited to pull out a few of my jacket purchases this fall!). I bought this suede jacket last year, but the color options this year are to die for! I think I might cave and get another!! I also love this cargo jacket…one of my fall staples for sure!

My Nsale Jacket Picks

I know what you’re thinking…denim?! Denim is a year round staple in any girl’s wardrobe! BUT, this time of year I always start looking for a few great pairs to add to my wardrobe that I will wear all year long! The Anniversary Sale is a great time to stock up and save, and even get some of your fave designer denim at a discounted price! I love my distressed denim and those are honestly the pairs I am usually drawn to first, but a great pair of dark wash non-distressed jeans are a must as I can wear them to work! I splurged on this pair this year and love that I can wear them to work, but they still have a little distressing in the raw hem! These are my favorite pair purchased from the sale because the fit is AMAZING and they are under $60!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Must Haves & a Giveaway!!

Nsale - Must Buys

I’m sure by now you have heard PLENTY about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! You know what it is and my favorite picks, but after yesterday’s kickoff, it’s obvious what everybody is loving! These top selling items will be the ones to go first, and it’s no wonder…fall staples on sale?! Yes please! PS Make sure to make it all the way through this post for an AMAZING giveaway!!

1. Easy Circle Cardigan (Now: $50 // After Sale: $75): This cardigan sold out day 1 of the sale last year and it looks like it’s currently heading in that same direction as the blush pictured above is already sold out! This year it was offered in 4 colors and a gorgeous burgundy, grey and taupe are still available. I ordered this one in taupe and am so excited to get it! I heard it runs large so I ordered an xs!

2. Leopard Scarf (Now: $12 // After Sale: $19): A $12 leopard print scarf?? Sold! Leopard is a neutral right?! I can picture this cutie with any of the tops, cardigans or jackets above and it’s lightweight enough that it will be perfect for early fall!

3. BP Cardigan (Now: $32 // After Sale: $49): The top selling item from last year is back! This sweater is a STEAL at just $32! I bought it in 2 colors last year and wore it repeatedly, so of course I snatched it up in a few more colors this year! This sweater is the perfect length for layering and one of my favorite pieces for work in the fall and winter!

4. Block Heel Booties (Now: $100 // After Sale: $150): The intricate detailing on these booties make them a stand out piece. These are a pair of shoes you can easily wear now and transition in to fall. I love that open toe!!

5. Suede Moto Jacket (Now: $126 // After Sale: $188 ): This jacket was another hot selling item that they brought back this year and it’s better than ever! This gorgeous jacket comes in 3 colors and I am obsessed with the “spice” color pictured above! I don’t see this jacket being in stock for long!

6. Suede Booties: The laser cut outs and split v side give these booties a unique spin. They come in 2 colors and have a stacked heel making them perfect for day to day wear. Pair them now with a dress and later in the fall with your favorite denim, cardi and scarf combo.

7. Cargo Jacket (Now: $79 // After Sale: $118): Everywhere I look, I feel like I’ve seen some mention of this jacket. A cargo jacket is a fall staple for me! It’s just the right weight for wearing in the fall when it’s chilly enough to need light layers but not cold enough for a full on coat. The pockets on this one add a fun military inspired touch, but it’s still classic enough that you will wear year after year!

8. Tory Burch Riding Boots (Now: $300 // After Sale: $500): I invested in TB riding boots last year and am SO glad that I did! Before them, I had so many pairs of cheaper riding boots that either fell apart or I couldn’t wear for long because they pinched my toes. I was looking for a great pair of boots to wear day after day that could take on the challenge of my teacher life (on my feet all day every day) and decided to make the splurge. If you wear riding boots a lot, I definitely recommend in making the investment!

9. Tory Burch Cross Body Bag (Now: $284 // After Sale: $428 ): This bag is gorgeous and I love that it comes in 3 neutral colors! The adjustable strap allows for it to be worn over the shoulder or as a cross body.

10. AG Jeans (Now: $150 // After Sale: $225 ): These jeans will definitely be sold out before the end of the weekend! I haven’t picked these up yet, but will definitely be purchasing today. AG jeans have an amazing fit and I love that this pair have no distressing, so I can wear them to work!

11. V-Neck Tee (Now: $16 // After Sale: $24): It’s all about the basics this year, and EVERYBODY is loving this tee!! I bought it in a few colors because a great tee is a staple in my wardrobe and hello?! $16 is a price that can’t be beat!

12. Tall Suede Boot (Now: $150 // After Sale: $225): These boots are gorgeous and at the top of my wish list. They have the perfect stacked heel and are a gorgeous shade of brown (or should I say “golden caramel”), although they also come in black and grey. I have a similar pair of boots that I wore all last fall and winter. They are perfect to take from work to the weekend!
