The leaves are falling and winter will be here before we know it! It’s that weird in between time, when it’s chilly, but not quite chilly enough to go full on bundle up in your down jacket and fur lined boots. This time of year, I rely on cute but cozy accessories to layer up my fall looks! My two favorite fall accessories? Beanies and scarves! Sharing not one, but two looks today on how I incorporate them into my fall wardrobe!

While shopping for a seasonal wardrobe refresh at Nordstrom, I couldn’t help but eye the accessories…my favorite part of dressing for colder weather! I love all of the beanies, floppy hats and scarves this time of year! The Nordstrom trend section is ALWAYS the first place I check for their amazing prices and great selections. I love finding the seasons best trends and classic closet staples all in one place!

When it comes to scarves, I go for a couple of different options to mix and match with my wardrobe for the temp changes. I love a good printed blanket scarf to pair with my neutrals. This one is cozy, but lightweight enough that I can wear it to work all day without overheating (it also comes in black)! A chunky knit scarf is also a must for those colder fall days. This ribbed option is oh so soft and perfect for wearing now and into winter (this one would make a great gift)!

A beanie is my number 1 fall and winter staple. I feel like I am constantly throwing one on when I head out the door during the fall and winter. I love that a beanie can keep me nice and toasty during the winter, or be the extra bit of warmth I need in the fall when I am just wearing a sweatshirt! I couldn’t turn this one down because it is my favorite color for fall. It comes in 4 great colors and is SO warm!

Are you a fan of fall and winter accessories? What is your go to?

Three Sweaters You Need For Fall

Leaves are falling and the temperatures are dropping and that can only mean one thing…It’s officially sweater weather! Changing seasons also mean it’s time for a wardrobe refresh. I love adding a few new pieces to my closet each season to freshen things up and to try out some of the latest trends! This fall, it’s all about sweaters!

Nordstrom is ALWAYS my go to when it’s time for a wardrobe refresh! The Nordstrom Trend section is the first place I check for their amazing prices and great selection. I love finding the seasons best trends at prices that don’t break the bank. The best part about Nordstrom is also their free shipping and returns. It’s a great way to try the latest trends and see what really works for you!

This season, I’ve discovered three sweater trends that I LOVE…mustard, stripes and brights. I’ve been drawn to sweaters that fit in these three categories and have loved incorporating them into my fall wardrobe rotation! A great striped sweater never goes out of style, but it seems like stripes are currently taking over more than usual! There are so many great options out there and I am loving the varied color combos! I love the color combo of this crewneck option, but the best part is that it’s chenille, making it oh so cozy!

Summer to Fall Mules

Mules are BY FAR my favorite type of shoe to wear! I think they are so easy and effortless and love that I can take them from work to the weekend! I especially love transitioning mules from summer to fall. There is no easier shoe to slip on and go all while looking chic and put together. Teachers, if you don’t own a pair of mules this needs to change! I find my mules some of the most comfortable that I own for the classroom! Today I am rounding up some of my current favorites, from neutrals to options topped off with a bow!

Lace Kimono

Kimono (more kimono options here) // Top, similar here // AGOLDE Shorts // Slide Sandals, more options here // KAANAS Bag // Ray-Ban Sunnies

If you have followed Twenties Girl Style for awhile, you know I LOVE a good kimono. It’s no surprise that this tends to be one of my go to pieces from spring to fall for how easy it is to style. A kimono can immediately change the look of a basic tee and jeans combo and can be dressed up or down depending on the accessories it’s paired with. I love the versatility and endless outfit options a kimono brings to a closet!

I was immediately drawn to this gorgeous crochet kimono. The length and sleeves give it some dramatic flair, but the crochet gives it a sweet, airy touch. I love that it can be worn as a swimsuit coverup, or paired with a dress and wedges for a date night ready look. I paired it with cutoffs and an easy tank for laidback weekend look.

Now for some exciting news! One of my very best friends, Lauren, has opened up an online boutique! It is officially open for business at 9am PST! I’ve gotten a little sneak peek of some of the items and you guys…her pieces are GORGEOUS! SO many good items to love in an affordable price range!
